Post Surgery Sensitivity (2 Years)

I had a hydrocelectomy performed two years ago, shortly after I had an infection that was treated with antibiotics. The size and comfort is MUCH better than before, but I've had a sensitive spot (bottom of testicle where 'cord' attaches) that hasnt really seemed to go away or get any better; When sitting or applying pressure is when the pain is there, but day to day activities it isn't too noticable. My overall experience with this procedure was 'okay'. What are your guys thoughts? Can anyone else relate? The pain is bearable, but does seem to get worse in colder weather, and I think I do have some scar tissue as it has grew in size, but again, minimal.

Hi everyone. I had hydrocele surgery on my left side 10 days ago. After surgery my left testicle got twice bigger from earlier stage. The alarming condition is that my left testicle is stick to stitching area and its look like that they had also stitched my testicle surrounding area with suture. The cutting area is at the middle of scrotum and my left testicle attached there. Means right testicle at the bottom of scrotum and left at the middle of it. Had consulted doctor he said its ok but am not satisfied.Could anyone help me out with this issue? Thanks in advance.

    Hi guys

so had my Right sided Hydrocele op on 20/7, surgeon said there was approx 100ml drained and everything had gone well, he used the Lords Plication technique to secure the internal sac.

had a minor infection on the incision site but took antibiotics and cleared up quickly. overall swelling has reduced.

However at about the 4.5 week period i have a sensation like someone is tugging on them and a constant dull ache as if i have been kicked, almost painful to touch, especially where the cord joins

had anyone else experienced anything like this ?

the pain is currently worse than before the op

Hi Misolow, i can definately relate i still have pain. I had my first surgery in October 2020, the next day i was rushed into A&E, i had a hematomah. i had a seconed surgery to remove under a litre of blood and blood clots from that area, far worse than the acutual hydrocele. I hate my scar and the way it looks. I now have to have a 3rd surgery, the testicle is lodged in the groin. its either surgery or leave it there. I hated the hydrocele and now i hate the after effects physically and mentally.x

I having the same issue, i had mine done in 2017 now i am in 2021, the size reduced but sometime i feel that discomfort, going for surgery i thought it was only hydrocele but after surgery they told me it was with spermatocele as well, they removed it, drained etc...whatever they do to get me well.

but i still feel minor pain especially after standing for a long period of time, the pressure from that part of surgery, the scrotum remained a little bit bigger compare to the other side, pressure on spermatic cord, and my scrotum is a sensitive when i touch it, even when i wear a tight underwear, so i don't know the feeling is normal, or it is something i need to go see another surgeon again for check up, i think it might be scar tissu or hematoma or i don't know...there is a bulge or lump on top of the testis, but when i apply some ices that lump seems to dissolve but after couple of minutes it will return, it is worring me because i not feeling the way i used to be...i know surgery never fixes someone in 100%.

I had my second hydrocele surgery 5 months ago. I got massive bleeding after both surgeries. After first surgery I still had a quite large hydrocele on my right side of the scrotum so a second surgery was performed. now my right testicle is stuck next to the root of the penis and there is something hard under it, possible scar tissue. I am certain this won't improve and its quite uncomfortable and worrying. I'm afraid to do a third surgery with the same surgeon. I've lost confidence in his skills actually. I also have problem with my erections being soft and not at all having the same firmness as before these surgeries. This has made me a bit depressed and I have lost confidence in my sexual capabilities. now it's almost two years since I had sex. I regret having these surgeries, living with the hydrocele was better in comparison. My scar after second surgery ripped due to the massive bleeding and scrotum being so swollen, so I was bleeding for two months. The scar healed badly so it looks like I have a hole in the scrotum. The doctor just gave me male diapers to wear. I heard from a friend that is a surgeon that they should have opened the scrotum and drained the blood. Since this was not done I suspect that it left scar tissue and my testicle being stuck and not hanging lose like it should. I now plan to see another specialist to get a second opinion and possibly do a third surgery to correct this.
