Post viral symptoms / syndrome

Hello eveyone,
I have been diagnosed with "post viral symptons". I have not got a clue what it is.Has anyone heard of this. For over two months I have been suffering from the following:
Heavy head feeling,
unbalanced.
constant pressure in the head
flu like symptons but no fever.
Pins and needles in left and right leg. Sometimes hot and cold flushes in the leg.
Prickly feeling in the arms
Muscle fatigue or cramping in the hands. I feel like my hands are so stiff sometimes.
Fatigue all the time ( despite having a good sleep).
Apparently I had a viral infection and then one by one these symptons appeared. it is dragging me down. I have MRI, blood test which came back okay except for slight raised "infection".
Does anyone else have these symptons? It is dragging me down. Is there a solution. The Dr says there is no treatment but it will disspear or subside on its own... when? when? when? Some days I can handle it other days I want to just curl up.
No offence but this syndrome just sounds so wishy washy. Could I be misdiagnosed?
Sad Elle.

I m afraid I don’t have an answer for you, but just to say it would not surprise me that it s linked as other hormones go out of balance with this rubbish syndrome. Hopefully it ll go back to normal soon x

When i had a blood test before getting a referral to the cfs/me service, i had high glucose levels and had to be tested for diabetes which when tested i don't have.

Same. Each flare-up is shorter in duration and less intense than the previous one for me. Hopefully things will resolve for you.

that is frustrating, i am sorry. on the bright side, i think we are lucky to be among the people who DO get better, it just takes a while...

Happy New Year to all of you...I hope you are getting better and since I am still having some issues, I would like to hear from you. In the last year I gradually started feeling better but still experience everyday head pressure accompanied with dizziness and tiredness. I can bear the symptoms much easier but am wondering will they ever stop. What I am facing now is low immunity...every single contact with someone with flu gives me sinusitis and all my issues come back when I am sick. I have been sick with high temperature 3 times in last two months. I feel this is really slowing down my recovery. What do you do to boost your immunity? Will this ever come to an end? I have never had problems with immunity before so I really start to suspect that it is connected to underlying condition which I am still not able to understand. I would like to believe that it is only anxiety but I am really calm and cheerful whenever possible.

hello Zlatka,
Happy New Year to you and everyone else on this forum. i could have written this myself. i was almost back to normal until 6 weeks ago when lots of stress, too much work and sick young children (with lots of disturbed nights) set me back a bit, the main symptoms i now get is dizziness and fatigue, and i seem to get every single illness my kids get as well, also been sick 3 times in the last 6 weeks which also sets me back. i dont have any advice on boosting immunity, but i feel since i was pretty much back to normal, there s no reason it wont happen again soon, when i can get out of this cycle and it will happen to you too. so yes! there is an end to it, keep taking good care of yourself. can i ask how long have you had symptoms? All the best for the new year, and good health above all to everyone here 😃 xx

happy new year!! it definitely is NOT just anxiety. i feel overall better, but often wake up with head pressure, groggy, and just sluggish. i also had some twitching and aches, and sinus pressure. my theory is that it is part of the healing process, somehow. and the lymph and its moving or not. when i wake up like that i make sure to get a bike ride that day, and everything starts flowing better. i tried nasya, ayurvedic nose drops (and the whole spitting thing, google it) and maybe it helped clear my sinuses. i also drink tonic water every day for aches. and herbal teas, tulsi, mint, chammomille, turmeric. i also cut back on gluten when i have an episode. so that is that, happy new year and hopefully we are all trending well.

Almost the same as me. Mine started in May 2017 6 weeks after the birth of my daughter. Symptoms have changed a lot over the time, but now it s dizziness and tiredness. Hopefully it will settle soon for all of us, the improvement is encouraging ever if there are still set backs. and like Lilum I completely agree, It is NOT just anxiety although of course these unexplained symptoms do cause anxiety themselves, but it is not the cause. xx

i met a guy in his 60s who had a very similar post viral syndrome. he said it took him four years to be symptom-free. in april it will be two years for me, so two more to go? i can work with that.

when i got sick i was in hawaii . with a colleague as well, although we did not know of each other for a few months (so no psychological influence). just had my glucose tolerance test, all normal. we are the lucky ones who, whether by the nature of our virus (or whatever it is), or genetic makeup, are getting better.

first of all, i fell off my bike. i got a nasty bruise, nothing catastrophic, but just sayin', bikes are not danger free. second, the new acupuncture place i went to was a total let down, i left with two needles still in. found them home. needless to say, not going back there. third, i feel like i found a system that work when i relapse. i drink bone broth, so tasty too, 8oz/day. i take one 350mcg or so of alpha lipoic acid, which ppl w diabetes take for neuropathy. and i found this restorative herb powder with astragalus, 2-3 teaspoons/day ( i presume i cannot write which company, so as not to advertise, sorry) which helps me tremendously. i still wake up with my arms numb from time to time, but i have had no day crashes, gut issues, or face numbness since i started this regimen. fingers crossed, i hope the chinese year of the pig will bring you all good luck!

how is everybody? I am better. Better and better, with occasional episodes, which are more manageable. i tested very low on vitamin D last week (just a check up) and now i am taking 50,000 u.i. once a week, plus 5000 once a day. that is a lot. will retest in two months. other than that, had some beer with no ill effects (other than going promptly to sleep, after two years with no beer). i hope everybody is thriving, hugs to you.
