Had my op 12 days ago, the pre op two weeks before that. Had a bit of a rocky ride, allergic reaction to antibiotics in hospital, home after two nights, but my incision won't seal. Got three holes in it, quite deep down to fat layer and having dressing by nurses every 48 hours. Bit of a shame but ok except for that. Best wishes.

Poor you I know how you feel I had the same , had to have dressings done every day for 5 mths. It was' nt sore as I had no feeling were the incision is but keep getting infections. They tried loads of different dressing even treated it with silver in the end my gp refered me back to the surgeon, I had it recut under a local and stitched , it healed within a fortnight. Still get a few twinges .If it carries on go to your gp and ask for a scan so they can see how deep it is and that it's not tracking

I had my LTH with only one ovary left. I felt great up to 3 weeks. I think I might over done few things but nothing in excess. I started to gradually bleed, until last Wensday evening when the bleeding increased profusely and my husband took me to the ER. Ended up spending 2 nights in the Hospital where they've done 2 Silver Nitrate treatments to stop the bleeding. I lost 500cc of blood and felt very weak after that...even now at hom I'm taking it very very easy. But still have a dark blodish discharge. Hopefully this will go away by Thursday when I'll see my surgeon for the first time post-op. Wish everyone a fast recovery. Sending lots of prayers and encouragments your way.

Poor you, I am almost 3 weeks post op - feeling well and in danger of over doing things!  I have been bleeding since the op - some days worse than others! I am thinking I should slow down now! Best of luck to you xx

      Hi Melissa.

I wasen't bleeding at all until 2 1/2 post up where it started with a little darr red spotting. Today, I have exactly 4 wks since had the surgery. Feeling little better, however restricted any lifting, excessive walking, cooking etc....Keep on saying to myself "I should of slowed down and listen to my body". But usually I'm very healthy, energetic and resilient. Trust in God this light bleeding I've now is only temporary....as a result of post Silver Nitrate treatment I had in the Hospital. On Thu will have my first post-op visit with the surgeon. Will see how things will progress. Please take it easy. I can tell you what I did prior to bleeding: felt good and gradually increased my walk up to 2 miles, then up to 3 miles one day; slightly cooked; made lunch for my daughter every morning; went shopping to Marshalls for 1 hr a day prior to bleeding; drove twice short distances. Did not lift more then few vegetables at a time or my apple 13" computer. Hope this hepls. Now erything is limited. I'm afraid to sit or walk more then 10min at a time.

Thank you, I have the nurse on Thursday as one of my stitches is refusing to dissolve.  I will ask her advice.  I don't have any pain now - just the bleeding - which I only use panty liners for! Admittedly, I change it everytime I need the loo.... If I bend down - I feel a trickle. I am now resting more, in the hope that this will help xx

My surgeon called me last night and we discussed all the symptoms and my progress. Yesterday and today I bleed very little but the's still bleeding going on. My doctor told me it's normal up to 6 wks post-up. She believes the blleding is due to left over blood/little cloting in the vagina after the treatment, however I might need another Silver Nitrate treatment. We'll see on Thursday.  Will keep you posted.
