Hi, we're you noticing these problems more around your cycle? Did you have the dizziness, motion imbalance, head pressure, ears feeling full, pressure in nose and cheeks? If so did it all resolve?

Once again, I'm in a similar situation to most people here. Have had the routine investigations, scans etc.
Just curious as to how the last 3 months have been for you. Has there been any progress in your symptoms or any new treatments?
I would greatly appreciate any feedback you may have

Popping my eares helps which is why i think its connected to the inner ear and eustician tube. 3 weeks ago, whilst i had a lot of head pressure I was popping my ears and air released from my left ear. After this I felt great, no pressure, no heachaces, no dizziness. Sadly over the next few days it just built up again. I think a lot of poeple on these sites are experiencing very similar things. Doctors seem to think air can't come out of your ear unless you have a perforated ear drum. I however have proof it can and believe many on here are suffering from the same thing. Do you pop your ears by holding both nostrals and blowing and does this help with relieving the head pressure?

I have had this pressure feeling from behind my nose for 4 months now. It leads to headaches the more active I am. It sort of builds up as soon as I get up on a morning. It's such an uncomfortable feeling. I have a theory of what might reduce the symptoms. A grommet put into the ear drum. This basiaclly lets air in and out of your head so it will reduce the pressure. I've found I can reduce the head pressure by chewing, yawning and performaing the Valsala manourver (popping ears). Popping ears is the best way. 6 weeks ago I popped my ears and I'm pretty sure I perforated my left ear drum, it must have only been a tiny whole as must have healed quickly. Ait then flowed out of my left ear, just as if you had a punctured tire. After this all of my symptoms were, no head pressure, noi heachache, no lightheadedness. Sadly over the next few days the pressure built back up again.
Do you find that when your ears pop it eases the pressure? I've tried amitryptiline, only for a couple of weeks, saw no effect but to be honest that's usually more effective for migranes of which I don't have. I've also been on loads of drugs doctors have tried to no avail. I've had an MRI, which came back clear, but was refused a CT scan. They just don't want to pay the money for it (I to live in the UK on NHS).
I saw specialist for the second time today and he basically said there was nothing he could do. I ran through my theory about putting in grommets but because there's no research out there that it might work he said no to putting in grommets. I have a second opionion on Thursday so going to push it to try see if it works.

I want to go back to the gym and workout again, because I have lost loads of weight with the stress this has caused, but I can't do anything remotely physical because the pressure comes on so intense if I do. It's like I am truly trapped. Like you, I snap at people, grunt, seem in a bad mood, but because I can barely lift my head sometimes it feels like. Also worth noting, I have notice my neck cracking a hell of a lot lately too, mainly probably because I am constantly moving it because I try and 'shake' off the headache sort of thing. I just wish somethign could be done to make me feel normal again. It's literally ruining my life. I cannot do anything I used to do

I get random head rushes, like WOW, and everything just feels all randomly wobbly, like when you do a handstand (not that I ever could now), but it's that same feeling sometimes just randomly, but it happens every single day on and off. I have tried so many medications and I actually had all of this over 5 years ago and guess what? It went away for over a year, nearly 2 years in fact, which makes it so terribly distressing that it came back 6 months ago and won't go away. I cannot remember for the life in me how it went away before though and now I think I am seriously ill again all over again.... Sigh

Tomorrow it will work like this: Wake up in the morning, for around 5 minutes as I lay there I don't feel any pressure, it's like being normal again, then bamn, out of nowhere all the extreme symptoms come on as soon as I start moving around. Then it gets worse and worse all day and always reaches its peak at around 6pm, then I literally have to go and lie down every single day at that time because I genuinely think if I didn't I would faint and I don't fancy taking the risk. I never do faint by the way, but I always lie down when the dizziness goes terrible, so god knows if I ever would. Sometimes it feels like I am battling to stay conscious if that makes sense bacuse the feeling is so heavy on the head and eyes.

I was shocked to say the least. Anyway, yes the symptoms feel similar again now, but I just feel as though this time they are worse or that it's something else. I can't actually remember just how bad it was the last time because it's been so long, but obviously it's liek my anxiety is fuelling it saying 'yes but what if this time it is something serious' and so we have that viscious, horrid cycle

I even tried to hand myself into the mental hospital as crazy as that sounds because I was basically saying, okay then if you think nothing is physically wrong with me then I must be mental then!!!!!!! because how the hell can I have such extreme symptoms if nothing is wrong with me, so it must mean I am crazy. ANyway, they turned me away because obviously I am not mental, but honestly the depression and isolation I felt after that made me feel hopeless, I had a nervous breakdown. My fiance couldn't believe what was happening to me, my mum had to move in for a few weeks to look after me, I couldn't eat, I couldn't do anything, I just started having 3-4 severe panic attacks everyday because I was so scared on the head symptoms and felt like no one would listen, no one would help, I rang about 9 ambulances in two weeks, went to the doctors every day for nearly two weeks and not one of them would recognise the severity of what I was feeling. I couldm't stop crying everyday all day, I would shake uncontrollably for hours and I literally couldn't control it. My head would go numb, my hands would stop working, I'd get so many horrible symptoms and I just had to lie there and cry and hope it would go. All hard to admit as a man, but in the end this has almost destroyed me again and I feel so let down by doctors. Somehow anyway, I have managed to come out of that state of severity but I am far from free of the physical symptoms, they just won't shift

I've been going through this hell for over 4 months, started gradually but now I seem about the same every single day.
Wake up some days with pressure, some days without, I think it's down to position I sleep. As soon as I get up and start my day it builds up.
I get the pressure from behind the bridge of my nose, this leads to headaches and feeling dizzy.

If you bend your head down does the pressure increase? It does with me, it's as if there is trapped air in my head that doesn't equalise to outside air pressure.
I agree it definitely has something to do with sinus or nasal cavities within the head. I've had MRI scan and docs say it's normal, no sinus issues either. I've also had a problem with my eyes, they are more light sensitive and I'm seeing quite a few eye floaters when outside in the light.
The thing that makes no sense is how can there be pressure without anything physically causing it?

Are you from the UK? I'm thinking of rounding up people like us to try and take our symptoms to some research universities or hospitals. There are a lot of us out there or various sites like this one.

I think I am super late to this forum but everything you have said is like you have been describing my life. I'm only 22 years old, having all the same symptoms. It started for me when I was around 19 with having a blocked nose all the time, I then started to develop severe pain in my head, ears & neck. Was told on multiple occasions it was probably a sinus infection and put on antibiotics but it never did any good. I do have allergies & asthma and been told that it was that so been put on different steroid nose sprays & tablets, all of which don't seem to do any good. It never goes away, It does however tend to get worse when the weather is bad. Got my first CT scan this week. Terrified to see what the outcomes are. Sitting here typing this and I can barely move my face the pain is so bad. My ears hurt, my whole neck feels tender, my face head & back of my head are all in severe pain. It definitely feels like my head could explode at any moment. I too have experienced muscle pain, pins & needles etc leading me to panic about having other medical issues. It just seems like I can't go a day without feeling awful anymore. I don't remember what it's like to enjoy time spent doing things I love without this big weight over me stopping me from enjoying life. Really hoping for some answers after my scan. And hoping for nothing to severe, as you said it does feel like you are dying and that there could be no other possible reason why you could feel this terrible.
