    Hello all,

I have had the same exact symptoms as most of you for almost 3 years now. I am a 27 year old female, athletic, and extremely healthy up until this all started. A quick rundown, I have a 24/7 head pressure feeling. I will get random pains throughout my head as well. A strong pain and pressure feeling in the base of scull and neck. Ear pain and pressure also facial pain and pressure. The biggest issue is the head pressure tho. It's always there. I wake up feeling hungover every morning too. I don't drink anymore and haven't for over a year now. I have seen every doctor had every blood test and MRI and Scan. Lumbar puncture etc. I have 3 3mm disc bulges but not causing any pressure and not touching spinal cord. Multiple docs say it's nothing. Has anyone found any answers? I can hardly afford to see anymore doctors. All of my extra money goes to them. I go to a new doc whenever I have the extra cash. I have had steroid injections in neck with no relief. I had sinuplastu with no releof. My sinuses are perfectly clear. So are my ears. I am out of tries. Anyone still fighting out there? I'd like to hear your story and compare what we have tried and not tried. hope to hear back. Until then I hope everyone is doing there best to keep fighting.

      Hi Thera.

I have very similar symptoms. Mine def feels like trapped air in sinus cavities but MRI apparently didn't spot anything. Trouble is I haven't got sinusitis so it might be that they are physically blocked and not show up. Popping my ears helps reduce the pressure I get, generally from behind my nose, sometimes hurts my eyes.

Over 6 weeks ago I popped my ears quite hard and loads of air came out my left ear, must have made a tiny perforation according to one dr. Anyways after that happened I felt great with no symptoms, sadly it just built back up over next day or two.

I'm seeing second ENT today I'm just hoping they find something. I will let you know.

I have my first ENT appt today, && I feel all the pressure still, problem is I haven't been able to pop my ears in awhile && I can't yawn, I've tried quite a few times when I feel like I have to yawn but nothing happens. I've never even heard of an ENT b4 now any suggestions what to ask them to look for?

      Hi.

Let us know how it goes. Mention that you know quite a few other people with these symptoms as well.

How long have you been on amatriplyne for? You said you thought it worked for the headaches. Did you have many side affects? I'm going to have to think of something to take as I've got pressure and headaches that go with it. I could maybe deal with just the pressure, well for now.

About 2 weeks now && no side effects that I know of I guess the sleepyness but I take it b4 bed, but I also was up for 4 hours after taking it one night n I didn't feel tired at all lol

Thanks for info, so the head pressure is still there but no headaches? Or does it just take the edge off them?

      Hello,

I haven't tried to pop my ears I'm a little frightened to. I can feel trapped air and pressure when I plug my nose and blow. I will have to read up on a safe way to do it and give it a try. Let us know how your ENT appointment goes. I have been to 5 different ones and they are sure its not sinus or ear related. I have my doubts tho. Good luck!

Hi, saw ENT today and she was baffled. Told me to use a nasal spray and booked to see her again in 6 weeks for CT scan. This is so frustrating as I know with me it's trapped air in my nasal sinus region, for some reason it doesn't seem to be equalising with outside so caused pressure. Mine builds up worse when I lean forward or bend over, also when I exercise. It's destroying my life and causing lots of anxiety.

      Hi everyone on here.

Please Google and have a good look at

      Isolated Sphenoid Sinusitis

The symptoms I have are spot on, I'm sure you will probably agree.

I think I'm progressively getting worse, even small movements of my head hurt. Walking dog this morning was such a challenge.

Let me know what you think!!!

So had my ENT appt they had me in n out, he's ordering I get blood work wants to check me for lyme, && wants a copy of my MRI next thursday. Literally all he really said was that and sent me out the door. && then I went to my orthopaedic appt later he referred me to a chiropractor for an evaluation && soft tissue release therapy cuz of where the pain I get in the back of my head where it meets my neck he thinks that might be causing the pressure. He was actually more pleasant and helpful tho he said if it doesn't help at all to call for another appt immediately so we can try other options, but because I drive all day for work he really thinks the chiropractor will help to try physio w.e that ishe lol. So guess I won't know anything til the chiropractor Wednesday or my MRI thursday.

Hi Amber, are you from the states or uk?

At least you got some things to follow up with. I to get neck pain but I think that is more because I'm tense about the head pain. I go see a head massage specialist once a week and that's what she said. Keep us posted about your progress. Have you looked at symptoms for Isolated Sphenoid Sinusitus?

Don't think its isolated sphenoid sinus coz the article I read said not even morphine would get rid of the pain beg to differ morphine would knock me out.

That doesn't count if your unconscious haha. Tell you what when the bad headaches come for me I take 2 codeine and 2 paracetamols and I might as well not bother, only thing that helps is to keep head totally still. Had one headache that lasted from 10pm all through the night and until 1pm the next day. All because I decided to do a few light leg exercises like calf eases and squats lol. What do you think is in your head, air, fluid?? I can sort of feel mine moving around depending on head position. Headaches can be all over my head as well, often pressing pressure points on back of neck help the pain.

Head totally still - I agree with that.

sitting and staring at a computer screen is not painful as long as I don't move my head around much, if at all.

My family delivered a body inverter to the house, and offered for me to try tai chi and meditation. Problem is, I've tried tai chi at a class before and all the movements made my discomfort worse.

also @alan, thanks for starting this thread.

sphenoid sinusitis - would that show up on an MRI? or a CT? Or another type of scan? I've had an MRI only before, and it came out fine - although I'm not sure what they looked for in the scan results.

I never suspected the sinuses as a potential problem. I always kept suspecting the eye muscles behind the eyes, or just some type of eye muscle strain. Glad you brought this up.

I find that pressing/massaging my temples can directly affect the pain. I don't know where the discomfort there comes from though.

Doing light exercises such as those you described (even ankle rehabilitation exercises) lead to what you described as well.
