So sorry Jerri. I've had mine for 3 months. Did not know the head pressure was some kind of headache. I'm at my wits end.

It has me scared so I went to ER.. they did blood work and a CT scan and it all came back good..
My family doctor has ordered a MRI so hopefully I will get some answers..
If anyone on here has got answers on this problem please let me know and I’ll do the same when I find out..

Hello Melinda, My current issues are exactly the same as yours, e.g.,"I can’t say it’s a lot of bad pain but the pressure is very very severe". I also had CT scans. MRI an MRA scans also showed only minor things. Since medications have not been a remedy there is not much I can offer except to say that my condition has stumped all the doctors I have been to because of the absence of a lot of pain. The closest a doctor has come to a diagnosis it to suspect that it is related to the Occipital Nerve but he can't figure out why it is not accompanied with pain. Take care and good luck, Paul

Hello Alan - I hope you see this, after 4 years. Did you have some kind of a head injury before this started? 40 yrs ago, I slammed the top of my head against a solid steel door frame (while jumping; goofing off with a nerf basketball), and had a mild concussion. Also, internal bruising (didn't swell outward, which I thought was peculiar). Spent 1 night in the hospital for observation. About 2 - 3 weeks later, I started getting a "pressing" feeling against my frontal face, then it moved subtly to the forehead and temporal area. The accident happened in Buffalo on or about Jan. 27th, 1978. I tried to ignore it, but it kept bothering me. By the fall (especially with the cold weather settling in), the pressure in my head was so bad, and so constant, I sought medical advice again. I had a skull series (X-rays), then a paranasal sinus X-ray, and all they could find was a polyp (didn't explain anything). I had mini-"seizures" when I chewed my food for too long (like steak or salad). My head would suddenly "shudder". Hard to explain. That went away after about 5 yrs. The most noteworthy thing was that, from 1978 onward, I COULD NOT PUT MY HEAD BELOW MY CENTER OF GRAVITY, WITHOUT FEELING LIKE A TRUCK WAS RUNNING OVER MY CRANIUM. I cannot do a handstand, headstand, somersault, dive, or many of the things I used to before this happened (at 18 yrs of age). I used to be very active, and was an excellent tennis player and played many sports. Could've been a lifeguard. I've had multiple CT scans and MRIs over the years (after they were invented), and I've learned to deal with this "cranial" pressure. Some people think it is stress related, but that is absolute bunk. I don't hyperventilate chronically, and I function pretty well, in spite of it (it's taken years to acclimate to the symptoms). IT FEELS LIKE A GORILLA IS SITTING ON THE BULK OF MY HEAD, 24 HRS A DAY, 365 DAYS A YEAR. IT HAS NEVER GONE AWAY! So I can absolutely sympathize with you. Please get back to me, and let me know what may have caused your head PSI (and if you've found a solution). I'll tell you more about my experience, too. BTW, I tried to force myself to put my head down for more than a few seconds once, and had ringing in my ears, saw spots, saw floating stars (in an arc - kaleidoscopic, like snowflakes), and saw red. I don't think that's normal! I've gotten to the point at almost 60 yrs of age where I don't give a good GD anymore, and I just enjoy life. It is bizarre, but survivable - I can attest to that. Thank you for reading.... Steve

Hello Steve, I've read a lot of posts but yours appears to be very similar to mine. I'm over 10 yrs older with 3 concussions from 1965-1975. Also an athlete with a h/o sinus problems. It wasn't until my late 40's that I was diagnosed with cervical arthritis along with sinus infections. Continued to have ongoing headaches until about 3 yrs ago at which time I underwent radiofrequency ablation. The severe headaches stopped and have since experienced the same kinds of head pressure that doctors can't diagnose because of the absence of pain. I admire you for your attitude about not giving into it and hope that everyone can follow that. I'm going to have to work harder on that. Thanks, Paul

Hi Steve, glad that you still decided to live normal despite of your condition. I just started to feel that a few months back. Thanks for sharing your situation that gives me confidence to live. I can't share my situation that much where I live as not many people here are sharing or perhaps Seeking medical treatment that much.. I am in so much anxiety right now. I used to be so active and exercise a lot. Now I can't and I hate it so.much.

I am out of the country right now. As soon as I'm back to my country I'll seek those you have suggested. I was advised at first that it was just a headache pressure but I doubt it because I never experienced it before. And when I exercise I get tired easily.

Thank you so much. I'll talk to my neurologist regarding this. Hope everything will turn out great for you. Wish you all the best. Hope I can talk to you more whenever I feel anxious. I kind of worried a lot lately. Feels like my life is no longer normal
