Problems with Tamsulosin

Posted , 9 users are following.

Tamsulosin does not suit me. I have very serious allergic reactions to it.I have several other conditions which will normally exclude surgery including a Pacemaker. Is there an alternative oral treatment available? Proscar takes too long I believe and has unwanted side effects. Here's hoping!!!

    Hello Everyone,

Went to see My GP today as it seems Alpha Blockers give me very bad allergic reactions,  Also he informs me that daily Cialis is NOT approved by NICE,the UK equivalent to FDA. IT is probably all about cost in this case, though its report talks about lack of evidence from the manufacturer.

I am now referred to the Consultant again.Apparently they can prescribe more or less what they think is appropriate. So I will await developments there.

No mention of Catheters and Im not complaining about that.

I have a new tablet to try.Oxybutynin.Starting on 2.5mg. I think it will be Finasteride later on,but for now I am hopeful that the new tablet will help.

Iam also on Oxybutynin.  It will give you a "massive" case of dry mouth when you wake up in the morning.  But you get use to it.

Was on Flomax for ten years...couldn't ejaculate sometimes - dry...tough to maintain an erection.  Got the urolift surgery in July and love it.  Came off Flomax after and now pee and ejaculate like a teenager.  Flomax does lower BP some though so had to add to my BP meds to replace it.  Much much better sex life without Flomax.  I'm 71 and dont plan to hang it up....wanna die like my uncle, while having an orgasm.

How many times per night do you get up to pee???????   I had the urolift in June of this year but still get up 3 times per night.  Sex life with me is "great" as well.

I had some good news  from my GP. He says that NICE have after all approved Daily Cialis for BPH.He is willing to give me a try. Anyone in UK who wishes to try this may wish to ask their GP for a trial. I took the first tablet this morning and of course its too early to tell whether there is any positive effect just yet. I will update this forum accordingly.

Perhaps Jimjames willl tell us how quickly his results took to take effect. Thanks again Jim.
