    Hi,

I have been experiencing withdrawal symptoms for the past 4 days. I took 10mg propranolol for just over a month as and when I need them, as directed by my GP for anxiety. I quit them cold turkey when I realised that it was the cause of all the side effects I had been experiencing. My last dose was on Saturday, when I took two pills in one day, it is now Thursday and I have been experiencing a fast heart rate upon minimal exertion (80-100bpm resting, 120-155bpm standing/walking). I also experience head zaps, numbness and pins and needles in right arm/leg, diaphgram flutters, muscle spasms throughout my body and in my neck and back of head which causes migraines and vision disturbances. I have been waking up with my left eye blurry, tingling feeling in my head and face and internal tremors/shaking throughout my body, as well as chest pain and shortness of breath. In other words, it's a living nightmare. Because I have been taking this medicine as and when needed as prescribed, I now realise I have been experiencing these withdrawal symptoms from the beginning as I have not been consistent with taking them regularly. I really hope the fast heart rate thing goes away as that is bothering me the most. I am 24 with no other health issues. If anyone else has overcome the heart rate issue, please reach out.

I was put on Propranolol last year for Anxiety after I came off of an Antidepressant called Zoloft/Sertraline(50 mg for 9 days) 3 weeks after to start Beta Blockers Propranolol at 40mg x1 a day, and I was only on them for 5 days and I experienced trouble breathing which is why I stopped! A year later and I'm still experiencing shortness of breath! This can't be right can it? Surely this symptom can't last for a year now can it? I'm experiencing shortness of breath, memory loss, headache, muscle and joint pain, confusion, blurry vision, inability to feel emotions, chest and back pain, balance problems, dizziness, anger, rage, emotional blunting, heart palpitations, anxiety..a lot of symptoms..is this normal?

32, Male, Autistic/Aspergers Could be a mixture of both but then again, the s****y Doctors put me back on Zoloft/Sertraline again because they conned me into thinking that my Anxiety had returned because of the weird symptoms that i experienced from both medication, and they made me believe that i didn't give them a chance to see them work, so i yo-yo'd between medications! Zoloft/Sertraline 9 days at 50mg came off, 3 weeks later Propranolol at 40mg x1 a day, 5 days then came off, 2 and a half weeks, maybe 3 weeks later, came back in Zoloft/Sertraline of a different brand at a lower dose of 25mg and stopped after 8 days!

the problem is that i gained a lot of weight during this year too and apparently if you have shortness of breath it means there's excess fluid build up in the lungs which can mean heart failure, and I've had heart palpitations all year! If the heart doesn't work then proper supply blood to the brain is limited, which means it could result in brain death too!?
