The doctor told me to take half a tablet of Sertraline for a week and then one whole tablet for the rest of the time (the tablets are 50mg) and I've got my parents to split the tablet and I just can't bring myself to take it I'm just too scared of the side effects sad

When I took sertraline I only took it for three days and I couldn't stand the side effects. It made me sick and threw my anxiety through the roof I was sent to er. But that is just my experience other people have had great help from using it. Just not me

I have taken much higher doses of propranolol with sertraline before and I was on them for a really long time, never any side effects from them, your doctor wouldn't prescribe something if the pros didn't outweigh the cons.

hi Thomas, yes its me again, I am on Sertraline a much higher dose than you and I have had some side effects but now that I have taken it for a while that is all gone except the sweating!!!  but it is good it has dug be out of a big hole, where I couldnt get out of, so hold on tight and just keep taking the meds and try and get some rest and try not to look on the internet about medication, as I said before they would have not put you on these if there was a risk involved, just trust the doctors, thats what I had to do and hopefully in time you will get there Good Luck

I'm not sure I need the Sertraline now, I mean the majority of my symptoms have eased off and at first I was scared of taking the Zimovane \Zopiclone but I grew a pair and decided to take it because I really need the sleep and it did take a little while for it to kick in but when it did I went out like a light lol. I got to bed at around 3 ish and woke up at 8 something only to pass out and wake up around 11 or 12 so I got a decent amount of sleep.

well done Thomas for taking the sleeping tablet and you see you can have a good sleep and it does you good too. But dont come off any meds yet not before you have seen your doctor again, because yes you may feel a bit better but if you stop the sertraline it wont help you at all, they always tell you not to come off your medication until told by a doctor.  It would be the worse thing you could do, I have never come off my meds until they tell me too, like at the moment because I am on so many Diazepam they cant give me anything else to help the aniexty so I am coming off 1mg every 3 weeks, it will take almost a year, but as I have been on them for so long they are doing it grad so I dont get the side effects coming off, that was just a sample of what you have to do. so dont stop your meds.
