PVCs after COVID

Hi Everyone;

As a 23 year old male who doesn't smoke, very rarely drink alcohol and mostly active (apart from the time I was stuck at home during covid due to quarantines), I started experiencing PVCs once I went through Covid and vaccination. (3 doses, inactivated). I have seen a cardiologist and went through ECG, Echocardiogram, 24-Hour Holter and Treadmill Stress Test. They told me my heart is structurally fine and I should not be worried.

However, I had a burden of 650 PVCs on a 24 hour basis. My doctor told me everyone has PVCs but rarely people feel them. My PVCs tend to disappear with exercise and come back during resting. I used to have way more of them after I had the third dose of vaccine, but I feel like they are getting better now.

I wanted to ask if anybody had the same story. Did anybody start experiencing these after Covid/Vaccination ? Did they get any better ? Should I be worried, because I am due to anxiety rising up.

For those who experienced PVCs, did you ever heal or are you aware of any remedies that helps with them ?

Thanks in advance for all the answers.

      my heart goes out to you. thousands a day for me too. Makes me demoralised and anxiety which was never a problem is through the roof .pvc s worse sfter each vaccine .So so wish i mever had the bloody thing. I try to dissociate myself from them. Dont talk about them and so have to cope with them on my own coz I dont want to be that person that is always going on about their ailments. Its lonely tho. And scarey. Thats why this forum helps. trouble is when people are ok you dont hear how theyre getting on and thats frustrating . hope youre ok

    my pvc started two weeks after the first vacc. Some days thousands singles and couplets. Some woozyness some chest pressure. Echo ok.pvc load 4% .Waited a year for telephone consult with cardiologist . the tests bythen were 7 months old. It doesnt make any of us feel confident that these buggers are harmless does it.

    Hi,

    YES!!! In Nov 2018 both my husband and I were sick for 10 days with the exact same symptoms as covid. (I firmly believe covid was around in 2018 - it was only made worse w/GOF and "let loose in 2019"). In Dec 2018 I developed PVC's, chest pain/discomfort . I contacted my PCP - had an EKG, holter monitor test and an echochardiogram done. Sure enough I was having PVC's. Never ever had that in my life. I don't smoke, drink and I'm active using the treadmill and having a mini farm. Then I got Covid (although I tested negative) Nov 2020 and I was in bed for 10 days again, exact same symptoms as 2018m and the PVCs got worse. I had a cardiac stress test - all totally normal. I did not get the covid vaccine. I am a healthcare professional (RN for 24 yrs). Ever since the first time I was sick things have not been right cardiac wise. One thing I did notice is when I took vitamins, including zinc, calcium, potassium, and magnesium. I noticed within a day or so my PVC's dramatically decreased or pretty much stopped. I am not sure the mechanism of action covid targets in the heart, but it definitely does something/interferes with the cardiac electrolyte cell function regarding depolarization/repolarization leading to cardiac issues. I may be wrong, but that is my experience.

      Wow! Your conclusion makes so much sense. Magnesium and potassium have been key in my self-treatment. You've explained why. Thank you!

    Sorry to hear you are having PVC'S and thanks for posting about them. I started getting them after the 2nd time I got COVID about 4 months ago. Not vaccinated. They usually happen at night when I lie down for bed and are accompanied by sleep apnea, not the obstructed kind the my brain forgets to tell my body to breath kind. Then I wake with a shot of adrenaline and anxiety and am wrecked for the night. First time it happened thought I was having heart attack so went out for some midnight exercise to see if it got worse with shortness of breath and chest pains etc. Nothing just super annoying PVC's and apnea which made it impossible to sleep. Went to the ER after the 3rd time it happened, wasn't getting much sleep and they hooked me up to the ekg told me palpatations benign go home. Since then I have noticed certain foods trigger the PVC's. No more wasabi almonds, bbq cornnuts, or off brand sports drinks. If I watch my diet eat whole clean foods I seem to do ok. Be careful with supplements, my sister talked me into neem leaves to kill parasites and that about punched my ticket to heaven. Very bad night. In reading through the responses I would agree it's electrolyte related as the trigger foods for me were generally super high sodium and packed with unpronounceable ingredients. For the anxiety I just remind myself I've got my salvation and if I go in my sleep I'm heavenbound! Oh ya, 51 years old, bit overweight but fairly fit. Never had PVC's before COVID. Really hope they go away eventually.

    Hi all. I found this thread looking for links between Covid and PVCs. I'm wondering if your ablation was successful for those who had one. I was a completely healthy 42 year old. No drinking, smoking, history or family history of heart problems. No vaccines. I was in the ER last night for crazy erratic heart patterns. PVC every third beat. I'm home and stable now but it's still there. Had Covid in March this year, and a different strain over a year ago. I'm remembering that my heart felt cramped and heavy this last time, and that when i took my pulse some beats were off. Didn't put it together at first but Covid is the only thing that makes sense. I have been a runner and strength trained over the course of my life up until 2019 and monitored my heart regularly. It was always strong and steady. If anything, fast. Last night it was up to 90's and down to 34 at one point. God, I pray it goes away. Sorry to you all for also going through this.
