Q Update on my initial LS diagnosis and question about pant liners.

Hi, I was diagnosed with LS back in Nov 2017. I was given clobetsal by my gyno and that was it!. Thanks to this group, I learned a lot about self care. I did see a vulva specialist, yesterday, who treats other LS patients. Hallelujah!! She took me off of the clob and prescribed Triamcinolone Acetone ointment 1%. I apply every day, for a month and every other day, thereafter. I go back in 4 months. The goal is that I go down to once a week and then only as needed. I have a mild case of LS, mostly near the perineal area. I thought my clitorus was gone, but its not. I have some minor loss of the left side of my inner labia. She actually took pictures and showed them to me. That was uncomfortable to look at. I know this post is long, but this is the first time in a long time, that I don't feel a sense of hopelessness. Yes, I will always have LS, but perhaps, along with my doctor and changes in my new normal, I may be able to keep it from getting worse. I only have one question. She said I should stop wearing my Poise pads!! Those are my safety net for those little accidents. That is going to be hard to break that habit. How can I use the coconut oil or any other oil and not stain my panties? What if I sneeze and accidentally pee my pants? What else can I use??? Thank you for reading.

Hi my Gynae specialist said absolutely ditch the panty liners and he said to iron your gusset 😃 must admit not tried tgat yet as moving  house and countries  at the moment.

Keep everything smooth and crease free to not aggravate .

Hmmmm angela0180...I was just posting about wondering if having to wear a pad had an effect or even cause of LS.  I wonder why your Dr. said not to use Poise.  I was wearing Always and they seemed to really irritate my tissue.  Now I use Tena.  But as the LS gets worse even they bother me.  I try to go hours a day without.  But this is a subject to know more about
