Questions for Hernia sufferers

Posted , 8 users are following.

1) Do most foods cause you severe stomach pain, except, say, cabbage and watermelon? Why would certain alkaline foods be a problem for Hernia sufferers?

2) Did you ever suffer from ectopic beats or diaphragm contractions?

3) Did your earliest symptoms include pain/cramp behind the left ribs perhaps when laughing?

4) Do you get a Chronic cough?

Any help would be much appreciated!

Hi Falkor, all foods would aggravate if your having a flare up, although alkaline foods should be fine, suggest eat slowly and chew food well.

ealy symptoms did include pain cramp behing ribs. All symptoms can settle down however. The correct meds will help stomach to settle down.

    regards

Yes most foods cause me pain. Constant pain under my right rib, moves all across my diaphragm. Acid reflux, I have no Dairy anymore, if I eat any fatty foods it kills all day and eve! Lots of cramps especially putting socks on!! Excessive bloating and no meds work for me!!!!

I found that meds only make it worse. What does work is digestive enzymes with betaine hcl. Poorly digested food produces gas in the stomach and intestines. The bloating causes the acid reflux and abdominal pain. I found that the first food and drink in the morning I take one enzyme and then two with lunch and evening meal. Plus I can eat anything providing I use the enzymes.

What type pill you take-if its not Zantac or Nexium or prosilec then I wouldn't be taking any other-I found buying Zantac over the counter is better then half the pills they give to people-One teaspoon baking soda in a full glass of water helps clean your entire stystem out
