Rarest gastro/throat case

Hello people of the world. I have been feeling unfair and all alone in this world. I don't know where to start it's the first time I'm in on any forums, hoping so much to seek help from you guys. It started when I was just 15 years old. I suddenly started to feel like clearing my throat every 5 seconds forever and specially after I used to eat or when I was empty stomach. I'm 19 years old right now and been to upto 16 different doctors, took their meds still no diagnosis for me. So, for 4 years I have been clearing my throat like that. Doctors told me it was allergy(it might be as my igE test result was 202 iU/ml) but as it mostly happened when I couldn't empty my bowel due to constipation, I personally thought that it's a GIT problem so I went to the best gastroenterologists in my country, but here I am ended up on forums. Guys God bless you, all u can do for me is to try to help me diagnose it. Think, what is it exactly that has made my life worse than hell for 4 years. I can provide more details to my current symptoms if you guys need. Any help would be appreciated sooo gosh much. Thank you.

Good morning. I am so sorry you are going through this. I can relate. It is hard to be going through something like this without a definite diagnosis and trying to find the right doctor. This happened to me and I had to have an emergency EGD when I was coughing up blood and they discovered I had GERD and something called Barrett's Esophagus, which is a worse form of GERD and they thought they found precancer cells, (thank God it was benign).  Now I am going through coughing up blood due and swallowing due to low platelet disorder (ITP) and wonder if it has gotten worse. My gastro won't go in there because he is afraid of the risk of bleeding out. It is awful. The dysphagia you have could be from that. Having problems swallowing. I have this problem as well. I have to take Protonix two times a day and zofran. I also have a rare disorder called gastroparasis. This is where your stomach is paralyzed and doesn't have motility to empty out. So food will sit there and cause infections. For years they told me "oh' it's just a stomach bug". Turned out it wasn't just a stomach bug. Keep pushing. I would recommend a Gastroenterologist if you haven't seen one already. I noticed you said you have seen 16 doctors. You have to be your own advocate. I have been through many doctors as well. They tell me I am too complicated and leave me hanging. Can you imagine having many rare disorders and doctors leaving you hanging? I finally have found a great internal doctor and they are wonderful working with my specialists. I go to Vanderbilt next month for help with my disorder. I had to cry in pain to get to Vanderbilt. I have many more rare disorder's as well. I can feel your pain. Anyway, while I was under, they enlarged my sphincter and it helped with my swallowing disorder. So I hope you can find relief!! I hope this helps some! Keep pushing! Don't give up and don't let them tell you you are depressed and it's in your head if you are feeling pain. I can't count how many times I have been told this. "Dysphagia is the medical term for the symptom of difficulty in swallowing. Although classified under "symptoms and signs" in ICD-10, the term is sometimes used as a condition in its own right. People with dysphagia are sometimes unaware of having it."

I forgot to tell you in my doctor's quest when he did an egd and colonoscopy he discovered a problem with my liver and it began an journey of discovering I have NASH (Non alcoholic steto hepatitis), so the gastro doctor would be a great place to get more answers. That is the other rare disorder I have and now my spleen is enlarged to 20 cm and pushing on my veins causing portal hypertension and immense pain. That is why I am going to Vanderbilt because the specialist don't know how to treat me and I am on a liver study that is only helping some. So good luck to you!! If you have any questions ask. I have alot of personal information about what I went through to get to the bottom of my issues.  I am concerned and scared but I have an 11 year old miracle child and he keeps me going along with my husband!!

Hey Lancer lady, I'm so so sorry and sad to hear about your disorder too. It's worse than I have, plus it is deadly too. Thank God that they removed it before it could turn into a malignant cancer. I have heard that Gerd is pretty common nowadays and I hope your coughs out of blood stops. And yes, I never give up. That's why I'm still trying to diagnose it and treat it. I even wrote the symptoms down and everything but still the doctor told me that I have nothing when Infact I have that much gases in my stomach 24/7 that I can't feel relaxed a second and keep clearing my throat.

I'm so happy for you that you're doing just fine and living great with your son and husband, I hope you all live for long with great health and hope your liver gets completely better. My spleen was mildly enlarged too. My problem and disease doesn't cause my physical pain or something but it is definitely gonna get me a heart disease sooner than later because due to excessive gases and an urge to have a bowel movement even though I'm constipated, it always wakes me up after 4 hours of sleep and then I can't sleep again and spend all my day in drowsiness and that's causing me extreme stress as I'm a student and I can't concentrate on my studies and work. I hope you can help me figure it out. Thank you smile
