re alcohol over the hols / pre op

Hi just wonder if anyone would be concerned pre op Regarding alcohol consumed over the holiday season?

I have had a drink most days in the last few weeks what with Christmas and New Year but also to steady my nerves , I maybe have been above the limit and hope this doesn't have a detrimental effect on my Surgery or recovery , best mention it tomorrow I guess , thanks for reading

    Good to remember too that alcohol and drugs don't mix well.

    Many well known and not so well known individuals have met their demise by mixing the two.

    I took a botttle of port into hospital with me to help my recovery. It was instantly condemned so had to be taken away again. I had to wait until I was home to have the occasional glass. It might have helped with the er.. blocking problem I had. Do take all lactulose etc which is offered to you. I'd never had a problem before.

      Oh Tom lactulose is like wall paper paste I couldn't take I tipped it in to my orange and my partner unwittingly drunk it , sorry but I had to laugh !

      Hi Jill I wasn't in any pain but couldn't sleep as so happy to be post op , I will try n grab some Zzzz today

      Thanks for your concerns I was beyond nervous but I needn't have been Onwards n upwards , hope you are doing well on your journey too
