Hi im in need of some advise... about 6 weeks ago i had unprotected sex with a lady i know... i immedietly started feeling unusual in my genitals, i went to a private cli ic and was tested for chlamydia and gonnehrea. the assumed Chlamydia and i was given a 7 day course of doxycycline... however the tests came back negative, i then noticed a small rash on 1 side under my foreskin, so i went to a gum clinic in fear it was herpes. they told me it looked like an alergic reaction to soap, they gave ne a full hesexual health screening barring a hepes swab as there were no lesions and they were confident it wasnt herpes (all tests came back negative) they gave me some aqueus cream to wash with... this howover aggrevated it worse... i ceased aqueus waahing and things seemes to improve somewhat.... however then the rip of my penis started to feel sore and sometimes felt like it was burning... at which time i noticed red dots over the entire glans... on close inspection it looks bloodshot... it is quite sore at times... also throughout this entire wpisode i have had lower abdominal pain and my pubic bone os tender to touch... i have been to my GP and he thoughtbit was Balantitis and i was given a 1 week course of fluoxycycline ans canestan cream... thia has had no effect whataoever and my doctor is convinced its all stress related..... please halp as im at my wits end

Okay, you have a lot going on here and have tried various applications to resolve what is going on ...
What you need to do is separate out the two issues that are present: the impact on the skin, and, the feelings of pain that you have.
For the skin STOP applying anything at all to it, it needs to return to its natural state to begin the process of healing. The only safe thing to apply to the skin is water - so you need to exclude everything else, no masturbation or sex if you want your skin to heal. As I say wash with water only - when you take a shower draw the foreskin as far forward, away from the body as you can to protect the head and inner foreskin.
Wash everywhere else on your body and FULLY rinse so that there is no trace of soap or whatever else you have used, particularly anywhere in your groin region. Then, expose the head of your penis and clean this and the entire foreskin with warm, never hot running water - using the inside of your hand and fingertips to clean the penile skin. Just as important, you must remove all traces of moisture from your penile skin, dry the entire groin region first, then your penis - use a clean dry towel that ONLY you use.
So for the sensations of pain you have particularly the lower abdominal pain, you need to see a different GP, or go to a Sexual Health Service, or if you are in the UK go a GUM Clinic at a General Hospital.
Once you have the treatment in place for this you can update your post here and I can help you further with the skin issues you have .......

thank you for your feedback, i will do as you said as regards cleaning my penis...
as for the abdominal pain, i have had a full check up at a GUM clinic and all results were negative, i have also given urine samples to rule out any sort of water infection or thrush (again all negative) i have had every blood test known to man and they all came back fine.

day 2 of following your instructions on washing, the appearance remains the same, however the pain/burning sensation has intensified... it almost feels like ive dipped the tip of my penis in acid... im hoping this is just pain resulting from the healing process.... but i fear that it is not..... please help

The appearance of your penis may not change in 2 months, never mind 2 days. Once penile skin, particularly on the head or inner foreskin is irritated or damaged it can take a great deal of time to even begin the process of healing. For this to take place there must be no further sources of irritation present.
The pain symptoms you have are real, irrespective of what tests suggest - I would go see a different GP, or if you have a Walk-In Urgent Care Centre in your area - and you can phone 111 to find this out - they will ask you to outline what your issue is, give a brief detail and they will suggest the best course of action for you ....

thanks again for replying... i wasnt suggesting my penis should be better after 2 days, i was more informing you that it had actually gotten more painful, which is still the case today. i will continue to avoid any soap etc on my oenis and cease masturbation, how long would you recommend abstaining from sexual intercourse as my girlfriend is already wondering why i havnt been near her in 7 week.
also as regards the abdominal pain, do you think it could be linked to the prostate as the pain is often deep behind my pubic bone and my anus often burns a bit, toilet motions ofyen feel like i have eaten spicy food.... which i have not.
thank you

.... you need to discuss this detail with a Medical Professional, that is the only way you will get the sensations of pain you have sorted out ....

i will book an appointment with a different GP and discuss my situation in detail... i did find another thread on here and the symptoms were identical to mine and he eventually sorted it with a 1 month treatment for prostatitis, this was why i asked you about this.... thank you again for taking your time to reply

hey Wee_Dugie
quick update. i visited my doctors this morning and saw a different GP... i explained my entire situation and she checked my Glans and did me a rectal examination, she found that my prostate was enlarged and she seemed pretty certain that this (Prostatitis) was likely the source of my issues, i have been prescribed 500mg Ciprofloxacin for (initially) 2 weeks and advised to take ibuprofen 3 times a day.... i need to revisit her 2 weeks today to see my progress and decide weather a further 2 week of antibiotics is needed
cheers D

hi Wee_Dugie
update as requested.
visited the doctor and was given further 2 week course of cipro for the prostate issue i have, things do seem to be easing slightly on the abdominal pain front, however there is little change in the feeling/appearance of my glans. still looks discoloured/dotty/dry when flacid but red and very angry when erect, it looks almost like the blood vessels are extremely prominent in my tip. i have been washing with just warm water, no Masturbating and no sex..... but still no improvement. it is a constant niggling pain, increases after (not during) urination and is quite painful when erect
Cheers for any input

Are you applying any medication to the skin of your penis ....?
I think you may need to consider going to specialists about the range of different symptoms that you have - so again, if you do live in the UK I would be looking to go to a GUM Clinic at the largest general Hospital in your area. This is because they often have access to other specialists such as Urologists and Dermatologists, or who may even be part of the GUM team ....

no medication
you previously told me to let it return to its natural state and not use anything on it and thats what i have done. ive considered all sorts, maybe diluted castor oil or coconut oil. its honestly driving me insane, the constant ache is there 24/7 and occupies my thoughts every moment of every day. i have read threads on here from guys who are 3 or 4 years in with this issue and nothing has improved, they have visited dermatologists, urologists you name it, but nothing has been resolved. i simply cannot put up with this for that sort of period, it is ruining my life.
as i said i have previously had the all clear from 2 x sexual health clinics so i know this not to be an STD. i have read up on nerve damage and this can appear to be caused in many ways i.e using a strong washing product/damage through trauma/ urine/yeast infection/ or an STI. the symptoms of nerve damage do sound similar to mine and it would explain why things intensify when sitting. im honestly fed up now and feel like i will have this issue for the rest of my life. please help.

Okay, it is completely impossible for me to read through all the previous correspondence that each post I respond to has previously stated - otherwise I would get to respond to far fewer posts. In addition, it would be an impossible task for me to take on-board everything that has been previously stated - just in your Forum Post alone.
What I would suggest is that you have not yet found the Medical Professional that can actually help you resolve what is going on for you - and, essentially, finding the right medical person to deal with this may be the only way to resolve these problems long-term.
If you have a constant ache, or even pain I would have thought this is an issue a Urologist should be able to deal with. I think I would be going back to my Regular / Family Doctor / GP and be stating to them the specialists and kinds of things you have tried so far to resolve this, and if there is anything further, or a particular specialist that they can recommend, or to help you find.
What does your Penile skin actually look like now .... ?

am back at the doctors next week, i will relay everything to them.
the appearance of the glans is still red/dry/blotchy and the sensation is still the same, a constant mild burning feeling all over the glans. the pain intensifies when sitting/driving, it almost feels like someone is squeezing the tip when im sat down, also sometimes when sitting the end of my penis goes cold, almost like no blood is flowing to the end. i sometimes get a mild to medium ache down my penis and into my testicles.
is there anything i cann apply to it to ease the feeling, even if only for an hour so i can have respite from this constant feeling?

About the pain you're describing. Check if your pelvic floor muscles are over active. If they are over active/too tensed they can cause pain you're describing. There are exercises that can help a lot with this. Hope this helps.

For the final question: you would need to ask a Doctor about that ...

Yes it did help. I notice when I don't use the exercises, I get some pain/annoyance again. There are physiotherapists that can help you with this.

which exercises do you use and how many reps, theres loads of different ones

-Simply retract your pelvic floor muscles (like you're holding your pee). Your penis should move up a little when you do this. Then you know you're using the right muscles. So, tighten your muscles for 1 up to 3 seconds, then let loose for a few seconds. Tighten and loosen your muscles count as one set. Repeat that 5 times and you've done one exercise. Do exercise from 3 to 5 times a day. You can tighten them longer or repeat it more often as in the weeks your muscles get stronger. This exercise is not only to train them. The most important part of this is the relaxation after you've tighten your muscles.
-Another one is really simple. Just squeeze your butt cheeks together and relax them again. Repeat this also 5 times. Also do this multiple times a day.
-And last but not least, put the underside of your feet together and see how far you can bring your feet (still against each other) to your butt. You don't have to go too far if you're not that agile. Just make sure that your feet are against each other and that your knees are pointing outwards. Now, just simply try to relax your pelvic floor muscles and try to breath calmly. Just focus on your breathing and let your muscles completely loose. Try to breath through your underbelly.
These exercises might take some practice. Finding your pelvic floor muscles too.
Hope this helps!

thanks man
the ones i was looking at were more like doing lunges and stuff like that. how quickly did you notice an improvement with doing these?
also did you discover any creams/lotions to apply to ease the constant burning sensation? it is literally driving me insane. thanks again
SomeoneAgain donkey1234

I think after a few weeks.
I don't apply anything since I really didn't have any burning. Only some coconut oil every now and then. I only had a burning sensation when urinating. But it can be that these exercises help with that too. Everything is in connection down there and if the muscles are too tensed the burning can also be a result of that.

yeah im extremely tense and anxious all the time. the discomfort/burning is there 24/7 so i dont ever relax, my head is consumed by this and its definately making matters worse but i simply cannot stop this been at the forefront of my mind every moment of every day...

Start doing these a few times a day. You can also do it on the toilet. Just sit and tighten your muscles. Focus on your breath an just relax. don't think about anything else. Even if it's just 5 minutes.

I am not a Medical Professional - I cannot prescribe anything to anyone - I make suggestions to males experiencing penile issues based on my own experiences and what I have read in these Forum's for 2 years + and on reading from other professional medical based web sites .....

i was simply asking if there was something you could suggest to ease my constant pain. for someone who has been in a similar situation i thought you would have a little more empathy.
thanks

yes, of course - the major issue I have learned is that each case is an individual one, that is what worked for one person can in some instances make situations far worse for other's - this is why this is a major difficulty to suggest anything.
What I more specifically could have said is that I have no experience of controlling pain - so this is not something I have any knowledge of - I hope you find the relief you are desperately seeking, the best people for that are medical professionals ....
