    Hey man:

My name is Andy and I will say this. I have had little bumps on my glans forever, kinda like goosebumps. I can only see them when I get an erection though, and they aren't painful or red or anything

    .

I'm not a doctor, and that's not to say that your issue is normal, you know your own body. I'm actually having a similar issue (one small spot only).... which is why I joined this site. But I did want to let you know because, if you're like me, how do you walk up to a friend and ask these kinds of questions? You don't.

So continue to check with your doc. Apparently, there are different forms of balanitis. Us guys with our foreskins are obviously more susceptible to it. And the docs are likely to recommend circumcision when it's ongoing or continuous, but I'd exhaust all options before doing that. If it feels irritated, try cleansing with like Cetaphil or something soap and detergent free. Pat dry and let the foreskin do it's job.

    All the best, bro.

I suffered with this for about 5 weeks. It happened to me after a late night drunken masturbation session. I tried treating it with vaseline for about 3 weeks with no change and then started researching it. That led me to trying antifungals for a weeks which didn't work and only dried out the head of my penis. I then ordered some balantitis relief cream and while i was waiting on it to arrive in the mail i started using baby diaper rash cream. After 3 days of using the cream the head of my penis returned to its normal state without any irritation. I then started using the balantitis cream but at that point my gland was back to normal. Just wanted to share my story, hope it helps!imageimage

    Hi!

I have a genital situation identical to yours with probably the same symptoms too and started everything after an acute balanitis after sex. It's 2,5 years now. Everything became worse after the use of a steroid cream called desamix effe. I've been to 12 doctors with no clue, don't know if this condition could be a kind of lichen disease or the result of a post-infection.

Have you find out the answer, have you done circumcision or biopsy? Please respond.

After seeing many doctors who diagnosed it as balantis and gave various antifungal creams that didn’t work, this is how I cured it:

    • (If you haven’t seen a doctor, do that first!!!)

    • I bought a miconazole nitrate anti-fungal powder, marketed for athletes foot.

    • Make sure it’s talc-free

    • after every shower, I’d coat the head of my penis with the powder. It’d be totally white after.

    • I’d also use a eczema cream or Vaseline cream first, to help the powder stick and also to moisturize

    • I’d recommend applying above the toilet or tub since the powder goes everywhere

This worked very quickly, and if I ever get a recurrence it’s usually less than once a year, and this fixes it very fast!
