Red spots on the penis glans shaft , wont go away for 2 months , PLEASE HELP !! :(
Posted , 5 users are following.
I have 4 red spots in a row on the right side of glans shaft . I noticed the first spot on the same area about half years ago after having sex. The red spot faded away, so i didnt pay much attention that time. Then it become noticeable about two to three months ago after I masturbated. I noticed the spots are less reddish if I dont masturbate and if i have no overnight erection.
I tried terrasil balanitis cream, didnt see improvement and i have no sign of any discharge from my penis so i stop using balnitis cream.
I saw some other posts suggest destin cream help cure the injury from masturbating, so I applied desitin max strength cream for a week but i dont see much improvement so far.
First picture was taken a month ago when i still masturbating daily (i avoid touching the red spots area tho) and second picture was when i stopped masturbated for a 9 days
Any suggestions would be appreciated !

Just to clarify for others reading this, Terrasil is an antifungal cream that is often used following unprotected penetrative sex, of which, a yeast infection following vaginal sex is the most common.
So, as to what you actually have going on here: you most likely have a dermatological issue, or an actual skin condition that will need to be treated.
Also, just to clarify - Balanitis is used to describe symptoms on the head and / or foreskin of the penis and therefore treatments like Terrasil or any other antifungal can be used to clear bacterial infections, such as a yeast infection, following unprotected penetrative sex.
However, Balanitis is also used to describe specific skin conditions and therefore antifungal creams will do nothing to reduce the symptoms of these, unless there is a bacterial infection additionally present too, but will not actually address the skin condition itself, such as Balanitis Xerotica Obliterans (BXO) for example.
(BXO is the Male specific version of Lichen Sclerosus)
So what you need to do is to rule out the possibility that you have a Dermatological basis for what you have going on, and these are caused by regular exposure to chemicals that are causing irritation to the skin on the head of your penis. I will post my complete guide of what you need to be aware of and some of the things you can do to address this. Read through it carefully and try to put as much in place as possible.
Update your Forum thread here if changes occur - if things worsen, seek professional medical advice such as the specialists I mention towards the end of the guide ..........
Penile Hygiene Regime to Combat Specific Problems
The best approach is not to use ANY SOAP on the Glans / Head of your penis - wash with water only EVERY time you have urinated, after sexual arousal, and ejaculation. If you are not circumcised, protect the Glans of your penis every time you take a shower by drawing the foreskin as far forward as you can, then wash everywhere else, thoroughly rinse off all the gels / shampoo and suchlike, then expose your glans wash it with the water only using the inside of your hand, then each time you have washed it you must make sure to 100% pat dry immediately afterwards with a towel.
After you have put this in place and you still have the situation going on you need to look at what else your penis is coming into contact with on a fairly regular basis. The likely suspects are:-
If all this produces no resolution to what you have, or your condition dramatically worsens, seek medical advice from your regular Doctor - but please note, many do not fully understand the differences between the potential skin conditions you may potentially have. Therefore, the better course of action may be to see a Dermatologist, or alternatively, go to a Specialist Sexual Health Service and ask to see the duty Urologist.

Red spots are less noticeable if I dont masturbate, but still cant go away completely. The longest time i stop masturbating is for almost 2 weeks. red spots are usually bright red in the morning after i got erection when i sleep.
I stopped masturbating everyday now and seems to me it fade away faster; the bright red spots became less noticeable afternoon compare to morning.
This past week, I masturbated 1 time every another day ( i always avoid touching the spots area), above picture first picture taken few days ago evening, only masturbated 1 day ago before that.(still can see spots in person from certain angle) Second picture just taken this morning, masturbated last night and also felt i had erection when i slept. Spots should be less noticeable by this afternoon again.
I think it has something to do with blood (or bumps ?) got stucked at that spots area, under the deeper skin...
I plan to cut down masturbating to once a week or only 2 times a month ? it is difficult but i hope it will help my penis skin to recover completely eventually

Just to briefly add, I have had these exact same markings on my penis - what you need to do is to abstain from any masturbation for as long as you can (i.e. 2 or 3 weeks is good, 3 months even better!).
Carefully read through the Penile Hygiene Regime I have detailed above and put as much of it in place as you can. The simple equation is this - do very little of significant difference = problem stays the same, or gets worse.
As I say, you may have a simple cause of this that may recover if you give your penis sufficient time to recover, on the other hand you may have the beginnings of an actual skin condition, masturbating WILL make it worse, as well as if you put non of the penile hygiene regime in place that I recommend will also worsen the problem.

Similar issues can have different causes, with one of the main factors being whether you had recent unprotected penetrative sex. If you put in place the details of the Penile Hygiene Regime that I detail above and see how you get on from there ......

Just want to share an update, the red spots have been bothering me for the past few months and i decided to sent my case to a doctor on " Dermatologist On Call "
His opinion on my skin condition is Irritant Contact Dermatitis - ICD . and recommended me to apply hydrocortisone 1% . twice a day as needed
I used it for a day and my red spots became alot redder next day morning. I have not seen this so red in the past 2 months. However, they faded away same day evening and they are almost all gone now in the third day.
He also suggest Aquaphor twice daily, that should help on skin redness

Unfortunately , there are still 3 red spots show up , although they are not as noticeable now. i use lotion when having sex and leave it on skin, that help lighten the red spot color
