Red zone / rash urethral duct

Hi!
I have been struggling with unclear symptoms and visited 3 urologist and 1 dermatologist. I have done many tests for STD´s have take Azithromycin , Metronidazole, Ciprofloxacin without yet an accurate indication of what is it. Doctors differ on what to do, but mainly my discomfort is itching and burning. Sometimes (hours) goes but it comes back. I had sexual partner more than 1 month ago and the redness started 5 days ago and didn´t test till today from herpes. Does someone has had something similar ? Thanks

Yes, completely negative. I also did an bladder ultrasound completely normal. A new urologist said it looked like a vein. Its incredible that almost every doctor has an independent opinion of symptoms and recommend different analysis... Today the vein has almost vanished. Till now without explanation and kind of decreased general discomfort. Please let me know your case too. Thanks!

Hi Frz,
I have also same issue but yesterday i test on Agha khan international laboratory and my all reports are negative(Normal), like bacteria , UTI, Infection etc etc. But I have one thing Positive, It's Mucus and i thing that is the reason of infection on urethra open so I just share my own report with all humans who had in problem, so test for mucus and then Dr will be provide antibiotic medicine to clear that thing,
and i think its disease call "Urethral Syndrome" male/female. Thanks and if you know any other information plz tell me in future.

Neisseria meningitidis is the closest thing ive found, a close relative to the bacteria that causes gonorrhoea. from what ive read, its spread sexually also by saliva and mucus. it wont show up on an std test but ive got urethritis symptoms and all neg std tests

have you had any clarity regarding this? going through the same thing and it looks similar

if youve had sex recently, look into acute urethritis caused by sexual transmission of neisseria meningiditis.
it is newly considered a common sexually transmitted pathogen by the CDC. you will have troubles finding a doctor that will listen to you if you bring that up. so i recommend seeing a urologist who is willing to read up on it.
even my urologist hasnt heard of it, after reading, they agreed it was worth treating me for it even before testing, which is hard to find. neisseria meningiditis is the bacteria that causes meningitis, which can be life threatening if the infection spreads to your pelvis and spine.

I had oral sex a few days before the pain started.
The inside of my urethra looks exactly like OP.
My doctor thinks that it resembles genital HSV1 and I am awaiting a blood test result, although they are apparently very shotty in regards to detecting it.

from what i was told, hsv affects the exterior skin of the penis, mostly. if your tests come back negative, google "orogenital transmission of neisseria meningiditis" youll find lots of good reading. the treatment is identical to gonorrhea, because both bacterias are of the neisseria family. youll have to find a doctor who is willing to learn about it, i went to 3 places before someone decided to actually help me. i was treated yesterday and already see improvement in swelling, before i had troubles urinating due to inflamation. i hope you find help soon.

also, my doctors said that my urine showed no sign of bacterial infection. i was still treated at a urologist. long shot in the butt, it hurts

also the major route of transmission is from oral sex, that bacteria primarily lives in the mucus glands at the back of the throat. 5-10% of people carry traces of this bacteria at random times and recently its mutated to where it can live inside the urethra and infect you there now.

Alright- so I have the same exact situation going on, and it has been 11 months worth of visits to no avail. I went to an infectious disease Dr. and tested neg for gon, chlym, syphilis, hsv2, and hep a/b/c. I have HIV-1 undetectable (which is why i see the inefc disease dr) and I tested positive for HSV-1 when I had a full std panel done in college 10 years earlier, but I never had any symptoms and my doc in college said that if you had cold sores as a kid it will often test positive. I don't have any lesions or symptoms of genital hsv-1, yet my current infectious disease dr insists that is must be genital hsv-1 so he put me on antivirals, yet it did nothing for 10 days. It actually made things worse.
I have seen two urologists over the past year who had no idea and blamed it on my prostate then bladder yet all tests were normal.
then i started seeing a physical therapist and pelvic dr who insisted it was pudental neuralgia, and thousands of dollars later in PT visits and even a minor surgery called a pudental nerve block, it is even worse. After the nerve block where they inject steroids into my nerve, everything got much much worse. The pain is now constant 24/7 and has been so for about 4 weeks. I even said what kind of outbreak would last for 4 weeks without subsiding?
I'd like to bring this information into my infectious disease dr and see if he would be willing to try to the shot for gonn- question, is there any negative to getting the but shot if this isn't the case?
Besides the urethritis and pain at the tip, i now have really bad dehydration symptoms as well as weight loss, vision issues and general fatigue. All my metabolic and blood panels came back completely fine. My 100 urine tests all come back completely fine, the c-reactive protein test comes back normal, my a1c is normal, i don't have yeast infection, etc. They have tested everything under the sun. I asked about chancroid, but my dr insisted it was not something i would get state side in his 30 years of doing this.
I am also not sexually active. My partner gives me oral sex occasionally (hasn't in a long time due to this) and he was tested and is fine.
In theory he could have had it in his throat and given the bacteria to my urethra, but I am more concerned about my health getting progressively worse week after week with nothing to show for it in test results. my quality of life is horrible and getting worse every day. I can barely focus on anything and am so tired all the time.
So what say you? should i ask for the shot and cite neisseria meningiditis? Have your symptoms completely subsided since?

i am really sorry to hear this. it makes me really scared to know that doctors hardly put in the effort to truly help patients. im going to the university of michigan for an infecious disease dr. i hope its not a waste like the rest of my previous appointments. have you had any antibiotics at all yet? i first noticed symptoms in early august, i took tests for hsv1 & 2, hiv, syphilis, gonorrhea, chlemydia, trich, mycoplasma, hep b/c. all negative. i went to a local urologist and told them about neisseria meningiditis. the PA heard me out and talked to the doctor. they agreed that trying a single shot of 250mg rocephyn and 100mg docycycline twice daily for a week is worth a shot and truly not that harmful of an antibiotic. from the beginning my only symptoms were pricking pain at my tip, swollen meatus making it difficult to urinate, and red/blue veins in my urethra that looked unhealthy. my pain went away mostly a few days before my appointment but the antibiotics helped with the swelling a lot. i still have the veins and im worried that because of how often i look, it isnt healing fast. if you dont have neisseria mengiditis, and maybe some other bacterial infection. this treatment works well for many other ailments. other things to look up, adenovirus, haemophilus parainfluenzae, cytomegalovirus. the first three on the list are bacterias that are native to the throat and have adapted to invade the urethra. there are specific culture techniques that are required to identify some. any old urine culture wont find what youre looking for. ive read so many research letters and reports about these i cant refer you to one link but the cdc has stuff about all of these. just have to type "urethritis" at the end of your search so you dan find more related material to read.

since my shot and pill regimen i havent had any pain. the eye issues you described sound familiar with adenovirus or cmv i cant remember, ive done so much reading over the last 6 weeks. (adenovirus is not a bacteria). the antibiotics are not a risk, especially considering you had that surgery. which specialist did you find the be the most helpful? infectious disease dr or the urologist? i have seen two urologists and going to see an infectious disease dr and dont want to waste more money. when i bring up any of these infections they just write it off, p*****g me off. if i continue to see the veins and redness ill end up reading about culture methods specifically for these virus/bacterias. and teaching the doctor something new. after this i have no faith in doctors. its messed up i have to pay them to treat myself here. from your photos i cant see any sore but you do look dry, do you have discharge? it looks like a little is coming out.
