l made a claim for PIP as l was sent a letter to say my DLA is ending and l sent in the PIP claim form 5 weeks ago and have heard absolutely nothing as of yet and the questions are how long before they send some type of correspondence?? to say what is happening as l thought some type of letter would have been sent before now.

I'm not able to answer that question I'm afraid Belgravia, but I'm pretty sure Denise will be able to advise you, she really is very knowledgeable when it comes to questions like this.

They normally comunicate with them so they probably know already. Changing from DLA to PIP for Carers Allowance shouldn't have any affect on the payment. Just to be safe though i'd just ring them and tell them even though it won't affect any payments. Hope this helps.
