Relieved it's blepharitis!

The optician just told me I have blepharitis and I'm relieved!

These past weeks I've had blurry vision, sensitivity to light, sore gritty eyes etc and any eye make up makes it worse. In strong sunshine I was blinking like a mole. At my age you are more prone to serious eye conditions and I had aleady diagnosed myself with half of these. But not blepharitis because I thought that always came with crustyness and mine doesn't.

I'll be tweaking the diet, cleansing etc and hopefully will be able to control it some.  At least I now know what I am dealing with. Some of the alternatives were a lot worse.

PS when I find my miracle cure I'll let you know ha ha.

    Hi Chris-Your symptoms sound more like Blepharospasm than Blephoritis.You should visit a neurologist or a neuro-opthalmologist, Not an optometrist.  Good luck.

      Thanks Anne. I had to google that! Blepharospasm is excessive blinking and involuntary closure through involuntary muscle contractions. When I said I was blinking in strong sunlight I meant more in the sense of screwing up my eyes because I had a low tolerance to strong sun.

      It was definitely blepharitis. Cheers anyway!
