Return of severe pain

Posted , 11 users are following.

It is now 5 months since I had my hips replaced.   It has been going fairly well, albeit limited due to knee problems.

?However this last 48 hours I have been suffering with pain around the new joints, bending is a no go the agony on getting straight is not worth it.

I told my GP and he just smiled.... gave me more pain killers.... really...

?Physio in 4 weeks time ...

?Has anyone else gone backwards at this stage... I feel like I am back to the first month of recovery.   I have been doing my exercises new and old ones but last night even with Tramadol and Nyproxin no sleep due to pain.

?My best friends are back out of the boot of the car as walking is impossible without them..... had got down to either nothing or just a walking stick for longer walks.

One fed up hippie, who needs to get stronger soon, husband due to have his tumour removed from his lung in February followed by 6 months of chemo...... nothing else can surely go wrong for me.

?Sorry needed to let off steam!!! cry

    Hi Elaine

im 12 months post op and I feel as if I'm going backwards. It's not my hip it's my foot, I can walk but it's painful and I have to eel stopping. I have been told it's nerve damage and there's nothing theyan do for it only give me anti depressant tablets but they don't make any difference.

Im also fed up, I need to improve so I can get back to walking with my ramblerriends.

Any time you need to letof steam just post on this forum. All the best for the future

    Hi Elaine

im now 12 months post op and feel as if I'm going backwards. It's not my hip that hurts it's my foot. I've been told it's nerve damage but they say there's nothing they can do. I can walk but it's painful, I have to keep stopping.

Im one fed up hippie also. It's one step forward and two back, it's very frustrating I imagine you feel the same.

i can't wait to be able to walk a distance with my rambler friends, if it ever happens.

i wish you all the best with your recovery
