Probably from the tie down they used. Due to staph, I had to have the entire prosthesis removed in early March an went without a knee until June 25 so I'm not yet a month out from surgery. I am having more pain\discomfort in the shin/calf area then any of the 5 previous surgeries in this area (11 total on the leg). I saw the surgeon yesterday and asked about it. He said it was brusing caused by the way I was tied down during the proceedure and it will take awhile even with icing to get complete relief. Therapist said to stay with streatching/ strengthing program.
