Hello,is there anyone on this forum who has had the rhomboid flap procedure to remove a pilonidal sinus?I've been told by my surgeon that this is the final solution to cure my sinus as i've already had the wound excised but unfortunately this has not worked for me..If anyone out there has had this procedure how has it worked for you, have you since had any relapses, does the procedure disfigure the buttocks,I look forward to any feedback thanks.. sad

Hey sorry to hear about the swelling. I have had a lot of problems with this horrible diesease. I am now on op number 7 over 10 years. I had major plastic surgery in January to try and cure this problem. I am now having laser hair removal, I have been told that the surgeons are only just realising this helps prevent p sinuses.

Sorry to hear that! My son is now ok, 3rd op sorted it thank goodness. Amazing surgeon in London, who massively helped us with the all important aftercare. We paid privately but was worth every penny. Good luck!

That’s good smile, the aftercare is the most important. My surgeon said it’s 50% op 50% aftercare. I have Only just been able to lie on my back. As my surgeon is very strict.
