Thank you for this post!!  I never had BV till my husband and I got together 3 yrs ago.  I was super ashamed it smelled so bad and nothing would get rid of it.  Went to doc, diagnosed BV, took round of antibiotics.  Got yeast infection.  Rinse, repeat.  I ended up taking Cipro once for it and got a reaction from that.  I thought this can’t be good!  So researched a lot and discovered a lot of great info connecting vag health with gut flora.  So after a bunch of trial and error, I now take probiotics to manage everything, and I have very good results with that.  I used to get yeast infections somewhat often but they are almost non-existent too.  I use a holistic brand I get at our pharmacy - it’s called yeast guard.  Really helps and I don’t need antibiotics to get rid of smell, it will go away with just a few doubled up doses of probiotics.  The thing I wonder about is why does the smell keep coming back every few months?  We have sex more than that.  Maybe what others have said here...it might have more to do with husband,  sometimes he takes probiotics, but often not.  I wonder if there is something infection in his gut that’s affecting everything...thanks again!  Will look into this.

I don’t know about rotten smell but ever without ejaculation, my vagina has a smell after I have sex it kinda smells like my boyfriend. Not really a bad smell but it’s strange and it stays like that for maybe a few hours

It's the women for sure after the two apkalines mix. Ive had sex with a couple of women and this smell only comes with this certain lady. So it can't be me . When the other women have no smell after ejaculation in them. Some ladies don't know their own bodies and quick to blame others. Listen and get yourself smelling better

No its not the womens fault either sweetie. And it happens with some women & not others ONLY because not all women carry the same chemical levels & ph levels in their vagina. You maybe the only man she gets the odor with also because i ONLY got the odor with ONE man. Never with the others....just him. The odor comes when the man & womans fluids meet...depending on hers & his enzymes & ph levels & several other factors...either the smell is created or not. I have spoke to several OBGYNs about this & i have been lucky to gain a lot of info. And the odor definitely doesn't mean she is not clean...just to add that in there. But i hate to say...its not about just getting yourself smelling better.

I was also told that it could be our boyfriends have bad eating habits which is weird.but i have the issue after sex everytime i feel like other people can smell me

Fresh semen is usually odorless. If you boyfriend used a condom for a while it would be interesting to see if this odor went away. Because another explanation for it is that you have, through no fault of yours of course, bacterial vaginosis

Hi ashley...i too have the exact same issue with my spouse's semen & my lady part...it is from the semen. My OBGYN told me semen gets trapped inside & causes bacterial vaginosis. The odor goes away on its own after a week but i always want it gone immediately because its such a horrid smell. My Obgyn gives me prescriptions for clindamycin to rid the bacteria. She gives me the cream that you fill in a syringe & insert it into the vagina. I will put it in before bed & the next morning the smell is GONE thankfully lol. Ask your Obgyn if they give you a prescription for it with some refills. Otherwise there isnt much you can do for the odor until it goes away on its own. I always try to make sure i get as much of the semen out as possible after sex too...that helps just a little bit.

I’ve the same problem with my new partner , ive never had it with my ex , I’ve got checked I don’t have BV or yeast infection, it happens only if he ***s inside me , but he drinks a lot of alcohol , I only see him at the weekends as he works , but I’ve asked him not to drink as much last time we had relations he hadn’t had a drink and there was no smell , so could be what they are putting in their bodies could affect the smell of it

Hey Ashley I have a question to ask u about a that me and my boyfriend r having when he cum inside me

I have news for you lady, if your pussy smells rotten it's because you are not using proper hygiene. My xwife contracted that smell , it was sickening, to let sperm decay inside you is just plain nasty. Douche that hole between your legs it's not as unhealthy as letting sperm rot inside your crotch. Plus your husband or boyfriend is going to think you are f*****g around on him because men know women get a rush from hiding things from your man like f*****g another man & harboring another man's cum inside your pussy. I'm sure you will get wet thinking about what I have written because it's getting away with things that floods your pussy with juice.

I have the same issue it's not bv though..it only happens if I let my boyfriend ejaculate in me.. I take good care of my lady parts it has to be something with his semen

Don't let anyone convince you that his rotten smelling sperm is cause of you.

The same thing happened to me. My husband's sperm made me smell awful and my side guy didn't. He is the one who should go get checked for something.
