Hey ashley, it kind of sounds like your not bathing afterwards and if the smell bothers you take your finger and wipe it all out while in a tub of water and olive oil. However if u r trying to get pergo that might lessen your chance to.

Men can carry bv, & usually don't have symptoms , same as chlamidia , you notice a smell , but assume it's your partner , all it really is , is a disruption in the normal flora , however , it is carried sexually and antibiotics take care of it . So you definately made a discovery , lol , the only problem with woman is antibiotics cause a yeast infection ... which is a total pain in the ass

Hi all hope this helps. I too have had Bv in the past confirmed by a doc and treated but the difference is when you have bv the fishy smell is present every time you have sex regardless of whether your partner ejaculates inside you or not. Myself and my husband after years of using condoms we decided to try for a baby and so stopped using condoms. Bout an hour after sex i was walking around and felt a gush of fluid (his sperm) come out of me the fishy odour was awful and i immediately thought oh no i have bv. But when we had sex again and he did not come inside me there was no smell. We continued to have sex and put up with the odour which ovee 2 months got better and better now there is no smell at all. I think initially his speem inside me may have upset the ph balance and then it settled down.

    Hi Ashley ,

So I'm no Doc or any thing but I am older and have a bit of experience in life and in the cleanliness of my vagina !

So I noticed I was having the same problems so I took a few steps to ensure that it wouldn't happen again !

Here is a small list might even be large at the end who knows but hopefully it helps you

1.) always go Pee after sex not before , this helps with not getting any infections this information is via my doctor !

2.) always shower before sex and clean your vagina matter fact shower every day if you don't have time to shower take the time to at least wash your vagina up with a washcloth antibacterial soap always warm water over the sink ! ( I do this every day no matter what )

3.) ( this step is important at least to me ). If you're not trying to have a baby after sex with a towel or over the toilet it doesn't matter squeeze his stuff out of you ! You're not going to get it all but it will help.

4.) The morning after sex make sure that you clean your vagina with that antibacterial soap or I use summer eve cleaning wash made especially for our vaginas ! Lol sry but it's true !

5.) keeping clean is going to be most important not just for you but for your partner as well make sure that he knows it's important to wash his pecker thoroughly before and after sex especially if he's not circumcised because if he is holding any sort of bacterial anything around under you know what I mean his pecker , you will 100% of the way end up with some sort of bacterial infection (I speak from experience )

I'm nearly 40 years old six kids and just one partner married for nearly 11 years now !

So STDs this way is out of the question but if you have had multiple partners make sure you have that Pap smear every year because even if you've had an STD and gotten rid of it there's stuff that happens in the future from that long ago maybe 20 years ago STD it does happen !

Just remember to stay safe and stay clean and have a fun happy sex life !

Hope this helps you sweetheart !

I see your post is couple years old and you've had lots of responses. I am not responding directly to you but to the forum. This is by far one of the craziest things and i don't understand what's going on. My ex (been apart 3yrs now) would always cum inside me and usually I would go urinate after. There was always a unique smell which I attributed to out chemistry mixing. I had it everytime. Usually only lasted hours, not days. Now for the crazy. . .i have not been sexually active for whole 3yrs we've been apart and a few days ago I noticed the exact same smell when I went to the bathroom. And it's still doing it days later. How in the hell is that possible???! Wtf could it really be? And if it's some type of infection or something, then why the exact same smell without infection when with him??!! Somebody help if you can

Couch is unhealthy , antibacterial soap is worse , you can douche with just warm water to irrigate , & the smell can be so many things , if I don't rinse my dove body wash off all the way , I think it smells , I'm sure your perception is worse than others cuz , as a woman , I know we always think the worse , also , depending on what he ate can effect the smell of his "stuff" & mixed with your fluids, well , sometimes the smell isn't too great ... light some candles , & enjoy your partner , & obviously see the dr regularly ... ??

Empty a douch bottle & fill it with warm water , it'll rinse it out or take a bath & soak fore 30...

    Hello Ashley,

The odor smell is common among men and women who are intimate without protection.

There can be multiple reasons and I'll provide more information below.

    - Male or female have multiple partners.

    - Male or female use substances.

    - Male or female use fitness proteins and supplements.

    - Male or female have other under lying problems such as prostate issues, endometriosis or other health related problems.

    - BV

    - Change of PH (which could mean other underlying problem)

    - Changing sex partners.

    - Immune system changes.

    - Yeast infection

    - Chlamydia

    - Douching

    - Genital Herpes

Please note, not all infections have a itching, burning smell. Sometimes change of odor could be the only sign.  The only way to determine the problem is by visiting a gynecologist or your MD.  Swab test and or your partners semen test.

    Good luck.

Don't ever listen to someone who isn't your OB/GYN. A fishy odor or rotten odor after a male ejaculated inside of you doesn't mean you have an STD or STI/BV. Your pH balance is very sensitive and when they clash, it's a whole new ball game for your bacteria. Doesn't mean there's an infection. Trust me. Besides, I'm pregnant now, my S/O still ejaculates inside me and with how many tests I have to get done, they would have told me I have BV. I've had it before and its nothing like this.
