Scratch-like marks appearing on skin What is causing this? [picture inside]

Hi, recently I've been getting these marks like this on my skin. Earlier today a line like this appeared on my skin seemingly out of nothing. I didn't feel anything when it happened. What can be causing this? Picture: http://postimg.org/image/97pzxschf/ I *definitely* did not scratch myself. They look like straight scratches but I did some research and they may be burrow marks of some kind. I have also been feeling itchy at night though I do not know what the cause of it is or whether it is related to this.
I have been getting large ones like this and also much smaller ones on my hands and arms and occasionally other places. A few hours later after I took this photo another large scratch-like mark appeared nearby on the same area in plain sight and I was really astonished and miffed about it. I suspect it is from a bug of some kind. What could this be? Thank you.

I too will be interested. I am needing a muscle biopsy so will be asking them to check the skin as well.

never got the muscle biopsy but what is very weakly positive is scleroderma SLC 75. Also positive on the immunoblot for Borellia Garinnii which is a species of lyme. Interestingly borellia can mimic scleroderma or maybe cause it..the science is a bit raw still. Still getting scratches.

I can tell you for sure ... starting in my 30's, I had a disease called Cushing Syndrome. I had a benign tumor on my Adrenal Gland. The scratch looking things that show up on your body out of the blue , I always thought it was call straie, but I am not sure now. The tumor caused an overproduction of Cortisol. The benign tumor may be on your adrenal or your pituitary gland. I do not mean to scare you, but I went to the doctor for several years, with no answers. They said "you are aging." They did allergy tests. I went online and Googled my symptoms. Moon face, rapid weight gain, and it also caused high blood, pressure, mood swings, insomnia, bruising
( comes out of nowhere), on your body. Think of adrenaline rushing through your body. Cortisol over production causes you to not be able to sleep. I had one adrenal gland removed, and the symptoms went away. I still get some of the symptoms, because there is a small tumor on my other adrenal gland. It has be over 20 years since the disease, but I have a scratch on my leg right now. I live a normal life, but the scratch just showed up, while sitting at my desk. I had coffee with creamer, and a fruit smoothie only today. I do no know if it was the sugar or caffeine that triggered a reaction , but FYI. Blessings.

Hi,
I know this post been long but maybe this may help.
You all may find it funny and laughable but truth is the symptom is not a medical or an insect problem.
I've had this so many times and It's a normal thing where I come from.
Witches sucks blood at night and that's exactly why you're seeing the scars.
They suck your blood while you're asleep.
We normally take some precaution before sleeping to prevent it.
Precautions like traditional incantations which tends to scare witches away at night.
Sometimes, we use some traditional items like alligator peppers and drop it close to our beds, they also pursue witches away.
If you check, you will never see the mark after afternoon/siesta sleep, witches basically moves at night to suck blood and that's when they carry out the act.
Growing up and becoming a hard Christian, if I pray before I sleep, they won't come or if I put on a sacred scapula or a rosary, it scares them away.
You can never get the scar putting any blessed medal, rosary or scapula on you while you sleep.
Is just like sleep paralysis, I get it always because of presence of witches here but once I sleep taking my spiritual precautions, non of the symptoms appears.
I know 90 % won't believe this, but it's actually true
I hope this helps.

I've been experiencing these dotted scratches on my lower legs for about a year now on and off. They only ever appear on my shins or calves and nowhere else on my body. I don't experience any itching and only tend to notice them when I step in the shower and feel them burning from the warm water.
I've attached a picture I took just now of a new scratch that appeared on my lower leg a couple of days ago. Nothing seems to stop this from happening. At least I can find solace in the fact that it's not just me and I'm not going mad!

I had a simular situation. It started with no symptoms and no bumps or rashes. It was so itchy once you started scratching you cant stop until it bleeds. A super intense itch that feels good to scratch in the beginning but burns and stings really bad afterwards. It was on my arms legs and chest. I had two biopsies that came back negative for parasites. I was convinced it was parasite and argued with my doctors. The bumps were random like two here and three there that looked like some sort of bug/parasite. I didnt wear shorts or short sleeves for over three years. I think I know what it is from. We lived in a house for over 11 years full of mold and mildew. We have since moved and the rash is gone. I used lots of creams and even used lice medicine on it since i was convinced it was a parasite. I hope this helps someone because you could be exposed to mold too. It could be the reason your are suffering. I really hope each and one of you receive the healing you need.
