Second Tkr

Hi all,

Having my second tkr tomorrow, not looking forward to it, but gotta do it.  Had my first one last August and other than a bit of stiffness so glad I did it!👍🏻 Did have a hard time on those pain pills, not looking forward to that and all the side effects, but did a lot of reading from all of you and am a bit wiser on how to handle things this time around.  Hubby has everything ready in the bedroom for me, ice machine, walker, pillows, shower bench...etc., you know the routine.  Will let you know how things go, a little anxious, but want it over.  Got my Chico Marx advise excerpts bookmarked! Lol

    So glad to hear that all went well. Also I am encouraged by you to do the other knee. I am still trying to figure out how to do email. Lol

    just read this column as it is 4am and can't sleep. I had my second tkr 1 week ago. UGH! I found the suggestions so helpful. Thanks! So glad you did well. The only thing keeping me going is thinking about those new shoes!

      Touche! I also had my second TKR a week ago. Not doing so well this time.

      Just noticed huge area of bruising at the back of the knee which I never had with the first TKR but assume this is normal.

      Everything seems so much harder this time.

      Time to read all suggestions again I think!
