Selincro (Nalmefene):

PLEASE read about this new drugs to give u a better understanding about how it  is  used and calm the addiction.

Remember whenever anyone decides to go cold turkey it is very dangerous and life threating. This drug can be another way to cut down and eventually stop alcohol dependence.

However it's best done under the supervision of a qualified addiction specialist, rehab or a doc familiar with this medication. 

This medication has been approved in Europe for the treatment of the disease Alcohol dependence.

(Helps with moderation management -helps give the alcohol dependent  a choice)

    Hi I Paul, it is a disgrace that this drug is not freely available for all of the patients it would suit,,, it would actually save money in the long term, as we all know... accidental injuries..... health problems, often severe..... clinic admissions,...severe depression... and the list goes on... quite apart from how many LIVES ARE DESTROYED by this terrible addiction.. there is often no sympathy for a disease that is classed as self inflicted... it makes me so angry as it is a huge problem that causes many deaths and also. Attempted suicide... attitudes Must change about this illness... hope and Paul, I wish you both well and I feel as though I know you both as a support and friend to many.. keep it up, we all!! Need help sometime... love to both, regards, Deirdre xx 😃😃

      Yes Deirdre, you are right. A LOT of money could be saved by investing in the treatment of alcohol problems but nobody at the top levels seem to want to listen.

      You have said a hell of a mouthful !  So true. I pray for the day when the medical community comes out of their self inflicted shell about this disease ! This is the biggest problem with Addiction ! 

      Thank you for UR ability to find sobriety. Now u have helped give so many UR truths as u too began UR journey to wellness and support others !
