Hi I've been taking sertraline 50mg for 6wks and the first 2wks were horendous side affects. I was prescribed sertraline to help me deal with panic attacks and anxiety after I had a TIA mini stroke. I've now upped my dose to 100mg and feeling much better ,my only advice is try and stick with it early on as it will get better.

I have been taking 50mg for awhile now for my anxiety and plus I have high blood pressure so it helps that too.
Last year I had a meeting at. My son's school and I took s whole pill that day because I was afraid I was going to have a panic attack.
So after the meeting well it started during the meeting .
This feeling I had never happened in my whole 44 years of life.
I had thoughts of hurting myself. It scared the s**t out of me.
So from now on I stick with the 50mg

Hi I was on 50mg for 2 months and had good days and bad after about 4 weeks of being in sertraline. When I went back to gp for check up he put it up to 100mg for the first 8 days didn't feel much different but the last 5 days I felt worse anxiety heavy feeling in my chest with occasional slightly burning feeling in upper chest and as if there's something stuck in my throat sometimes, also I exercise a lot and feel my heart rate is sometimes coming out my chest.. Do I give the 100mg more time to work?? Any advice helpful

Does anyone else have this response to the sertraline? I should love to go back to normal and not need them but it appears to be too late and I have been taking them for about 8 months now. Any suggestions??Please!!!
