Hi, is anyone using sertraline and if so how are you finding it. I've only just started taking it and far not too bad. Did anyone have dilated pupils with it. X

I haven't taken this particular drug but took one v similar called venlafaxine....they were excellent for me but they do take 6/8 wee!ks to kick in and when they do you feel amazing

dialated pupils nearly always happen with antidepressants after all they are in affect making you high. and if you take your meds before bedtime it stops the sickly feeling...hope all goes well x

hi heather, how are you doing today? ive felt pretty rough, anxiety was back along with nausea and low mood....so dissapointed, i had a few good days and really thought i was improving...guess its 2 steps forward 1 step back with this med, so just have to hope this is a blip and keep going...ive read today that lots of people see some improvement around now, but the real improvement comes at 11-12 weeks x

Hi Karen, really sorry your not feeling too good. Are you still taking 75mg? I've read up and think this med can start working early on for some people and take longer for others. Just having glimpses of good days help to believe it will work in the long run.

I've been ok the last 2 days. Bowls have settled thank god. I read up that should take meds with a full meal. I take mine about 8pm so I've started having some toast with it and found since my mornings are better no shakes or diarrhoea but I know this can change. I really hope you pick up xx

hi heather, it sounds like its settling for you a bit, which is great, have you tried hrt as well? i take femeston 1/10 to top up my hormones, not sure it does much..

Dr didn't want me to try hrt yet but I'm not sure if I want to. My friend has been menopausal since her 30's went on hrt and has struggled with her symtons again since coming off it. She's not had a period for 6yrs. I've been taking sage supplements which have helped with flushes and night sweats. Ive not heard of femeston tho. Have you been taking it for long x

hi heather, today ive been ok, really busy but managed to cope at work, felt panicky the past couple of hours though, have definitely noticed side effects from increasing to 75mg, was very nauseous over the weekend, but i think for me it will be worth it...sounds like you are much better, just stick with it now and you should see the full benefits soon, as will i please God! x

Fingers crossed for you, I hope the side effects don't last too long for you. I've actually had my appetite back which is making me feel loads better. I found I'm constantly thinking about the side effects and what I should be feeling so now I'm trying to keep busy at work and at home. I'm hope all these side effects have been worth it for us both x

yes i have my appetite back too - most of the time anyway, its all a bit patchy...yes im always thinking about how im feeling, am i really getting better etc..i know im better than i was, but i just want to be myself again - i have been on these types of meds before though, and when i look back it did take months for them to really work, but it was lovely when they did, so it just takes patience x

Hi Karen, how are you doing? Hope your feeling better. I've had quite a good week, the odd anxiety on a morning but that seems to fade after about an hour. I know it's still early but the odd time I've actually felt like my old self 😀. I'm hoping there's no set backs. I'm keeping myself quite busy so I'm not over thinking. X

hi heather, glad to hear you are feeling better, wish i could say the same! but the past week has been awful for me, really sick and no appetite, terrible anxiety and low mood, just when i was starting to feel better, so its a real blow, i put it down tp increasing my dose, so just hoping i start to feel a bit better soon x

I'm so sorry to hear your not feeling too good, are you still taking 75mg? Fingers crossed you do start picking up soon. I've found myself humming and singing at work (out of tune) 😂 so do feel quite good but know I could have some off days too. Xx

hi heather, yes im on 75mg but i think its too much for me as ive felt so awful the past week so going to go back to 50mg, hope you're still doing well x

Hi Karen, I have been doing quite well. The odd bowel issue but that's a lot better than it was, anxiety has really calmed down. Will you try the 50mg for a longer period to see if it settles? I really hope it does help you. I never thought I'd feel almost normal, but your support has really helped me. Fingers crossed you feel better just by reducing it xx
