I am not going to be helpful but in a dilemma. Im 16 and a half and 2 months ago started taking sertraline. Started on 25mg for a week then 50mg until now and just started 100 mg. I admit that i masturbate and have done for years successfully ejaculating each time. A few days after i started taking 100mg i havent been able to ejaculate no matter how horny i am or how much i stroke. Im young and cannot pull foreskin all way back. Im not sure if it is the sertraline or just general body growth. Any help anyway.

I'm thoroughly confused. My boyfriend was prescribed sertraline (Zoloft) for erectile dysfunction after Viagra didn't work. He's been on it about three weeks now and things are going great. Does this mean it's going to go downhill from here? Why would a urologist prescribe sertraline for ED if one of the side effects of sertraline is ED?

My husband is the same.. no interest in the slightest. . It is destroying our marriage so I am looking for the same answers as you. He is currently taking 60mg Amptriptyline also Pregabalin 150my. .he unlike you won't do anything about it, which clearly doesn't help the situation. . Viagra doesn't give you back the feeling of wanting to make either so what's the point of taking it.This my husband won't entertain either.. If you have had any luck returning back to having a reason normal health life..please pass on how it can be corrected. . Yes I adore my husband butis am at my wits end and breaking down as I feel so unloved.. I will say, it is OK for GP's to give out medications like these but don't give a darn if it wrecks a relationship /marriage. ....if you haven't found a solution to this problem is truly do wish u all the best

I know that the original post was made 10 years ago but I wanted to just provide an answer for anyone asking the same question in 2017. I couldnt get a straight answer to the same question a few weeks ago.

Im a 33 year male and have been taking 100mg of sertraline for 7 weeks.

I had a large dip in my sex drive. I was able to maintain an erection although it wasnt as strong as before. The biggest worry was the difficulty ejaculating and the almost complete numbness during climax.

Thankfully this particular side effect wore off after 3-4 weeks and everything has returned to how it was before. Without the stress, anxiety, depression and anger I was feeling, it is infact now better in the sexual department.

We are all different and react to medication differently. You have to weigh up whether the mental health benefits of sertraline are worth sacrificing your sex for. There is also the option of switching medication if that is a sacrifice you cannot make.

You're not alone, I'm a 36yr old male, been on Sertraline for about 3 months and got moved on to 100mg about a month ago.

Been finding throughout that I may have a working sex drive though reduced from what it used to be, but I find that I can easily lose my errection even if I still have the same sensations. To top it off I can feel like I'm close to climaxing to the point that I should be starting ejaculating but it doesn't happen.

It's got to the point where it can take up to 2 hours to reach orgasm on my own.

Been having other side effects from these tablets that have got worse since having the dosage upped so I'm hoping to change them for something else or come off them completely as this is actually making me feel worse rather than better.

My other half is happy though as she has little sex drive since going on the pill so I'm not bothering her much these days!

Hope everyone finds something to help them have a more satisfactory sex life and I'll be keeping tabs to see if anything can help if I'm kept on these tablets.

I am actually hoping this medication will reduce my libido... I suffer with extreme anxiety as well as sexual masochistic disorder and it is ruining my life.

I have never felt as low and exhausted as I do this last week. I have started CBT at level 3 and have just been weaned off Citalopram 40Mg as the Doctor and I felt I had plateaued with it.

I am not constantly horny or erect I just can’t stop thinking about meeting up with a specific guy I know each weekend who will do specific things that turn me on. Things that are not beneficial to a good, healthy balanced lifestyle.

i can’t focus, it is really bad for me and it could affect my job and in turn my life. I really do hope that this medication will calm down some obsessive thinking and dramatically reduce my libido and need for this dangerous type of sexual activity.

I have even contemplated medical castration to stop the desire of being hurt, abused, degraded and violated.

Anyone out there who suffers the same I would love to hear from you.

I was able to overcome senile dementia via a complete naturopathic process.

About two years ago, when I was "5 6" , I started feeling foggy and had occasional memory lapses. My wife, Mary, started to notice it, too, but I also have hearing issues so she thought that was the problem. My memory worsened very gradually over the years, and we lived with it, compensating as needed. I became less social. After some months thereafter, it got to the point where we couldn't keep making excuses or ignoring it. I had gone from doing our grocery shopping without a list to going with a list, to having the list but not buying what was on it.

Mary went online to do some research, and it was during this process we had been fortunate enough to come across Dr. U.tu Herbal Cure: an African herbalist and witch doctor whose professional works had majored on the eradication of certain viral conditions, especially dementia, ( improving the memory capacity positively), via a traditional, naturopathic process and distinguished diet plan. It was by the administration of this herbal specialist that I had been able to improve my condition for better. So to say, the encounter with the above-mentioned herbal practitioner was the first time we ever heard there was something that possibly can be done to improve my memory functionality.

By the existence of such an encounter, I was able to learn of the new approach by which this herbalist successfully treated dementia conditions, which included a distinguished herbal therapy and lifestyle changes of which I had undergone to a tremendous, positive effect.

It was after the completion of the herbal therapy I had started to experience a great deal of cognitive improvement when it came to rational decision making.

In brief, I was able to go through the dreadful hollows of senile dementia without any further hazardous damage to my health condition, and within a short period. Had it not been for the support of my wife, of whom had encouraged me to undergo the above-mentioned therapy and that of the herbal practitioner of whom now happens to be benefactor - I would have been long exposed to the further perils of this condition and of which had been apt to result to a calamitous end.

I would also wish for the same positiveness upon patients who may happen to be suffering from this debilitating disease, and would warmly beseech them to find a confidant like this herbal specialist with whose professional services I was able to attain a divine recovery.

    For further information concerning this African traditional cure for Alzheimer's disease; feel free to contact Dr. U.tu directly via email: d r u t u h e r b a l c u r e @ g m a i l . c o m
