I've just started taking sertraline 50mg and Im really worried about the side affects. I've taken many other anti depressants but for some reason this one worry's me the kost. I would really appreciate any advice on how to handle the side effects and what not. Thanks in advance.

Remember a couple of key things
.1) You are taking this medicine because you have anxiety (worry), so being worried comes with the territory. When I first got on Zoloft, I would literally pray over the medicine before I took it. That is would be good for my body. (now that's a little kookie but anxiety is real)
2) Your body has a chemical IMBALANCE. So it takes time to get to YOUR "therapeutic dose". Then it takes time for the medicine to build up in your system to BALANCE you again.
The ONE THING that helped me more than anything was to have Ativan (benzo). I couldn't have gotten to 200mg Zoloft without it. Talk to your doctor about it.
