Hi there

I have just been prescribed setraline 50mg for mild depression and anxiety. Its only day two but i am having weird side effecst. Mainly very bad headaches as well as grinding of teeth. Can anyone tell me how long these effects last and is it worth sticking out?

Thanks!

hi Dan. I am on day 7. Have experienced really bad side effects - headache, anxiety, nausia, tired, flu-like symptoms, no appetite, troble sleeping. I was about to quit two days ago because I feelt I was in a living hell. Today is a little better so I am starting to believe it is worth it in the end

    Hi Dan,

Definitely stick with sertraline for a few weeks, which is generally when side effects tend to ease off I found. I had the odd urge to clamp my teeth together too, but this passed after a few weeks. I've been on sertraline for a year now, and have not suffered any side effects since those first few weeks of taking it.

All the best, and let you know how you get on smile
