SEVERE BRAIN FOG WITH BAGGAGE

Posted , 13 users are following.

Hi..I've been suffering with the most atrocious of brain fog/ confusion/ memory loss for over 5 months..But my brain fog is the worst because it comes with daily severe anxiety..huge blood pressure spikes..sudden heart rate spikes in the 130's..lots of dizziness..vertigo episodes..visual disturbances..constant ringing of my ears..nightly awakenings at 4 am and unable to go to sleep again..tremors in left leg..air hunger episodes..severe depression..lots of panic attack daily..and lots others which I can't remember now..I've been to ER twice in last 6 months due to HB pressure spikes (200/130)..each time doctors there said I had panic attacks only..I've been evaluated by three of the most illustrious neurologists in the Las Vegas area but the can't find anything...MRI imaging only shows natural aging changes..no big deal stuff. Endocrinologist found zilch. Sleep study found mild apnea...almost none..All normal stuff. All of them "specialists" say its "anxiety"...or "depression..But in the mean time..I can't think straight..I get lost in my own thoughts..can't think straight..can't sleep..my mind races wildly when try to lay down to sleep...all very scary stuff....I don't have any financial stressors...to cause anxiety or depression...IS THERE ANY HELP FOR ME..?? I'm very scared..I have a young family to live for..but I feel I'm dying inside..very slowly...Any help will be appreciated

Yes Gino...I'm on Diovan 160 x per day plus 25 mg Atenolol daily...That combo seems to keep me in the 140/95 range for the most part....But I've noticed my BP is very elevated on the am..and if I have a spike..it will be the pm..the morning rise is upon awakening..(173/110)..and if I have a spike in the pm....it will be sometimes (189/113)...but I just don't know why my body does that...Two cardiologists here in Vegas said that I have the heart of a 21 yr old...My main concern is my cognitive problem....I'M JUST NOT CONVINCED IT'S ANXIETY/ DEPRESSION....or do these conditions cause such harsh symptoms...

IM THINKING MAYBE I HAVE EPILEPSY OR SOME OTHER UNDISCOVERED BRAIN ILLNESS

Louis  I don’t know if you’re still reading these but I have the exact same issues. Let me know if you are still on here.

When you feel that way go to YouTube and search for panic attack emergency or stop panic attacks now. They will guide you through it and it really helps me a lot.

another one that is really important to listen to is called mindfulness breathing  guided meditation 10 minutes".  People don't breathe properly during panic attacks which makes them worse.  These meditations keep you focused on the present moment.

there are many to choose from.

There are also excellent meditations for anxiety, sleep, depression, etc. they completely calm down my MINDBODY and symptoms. I did this when I lie down to sleep and sometimes I listen during the day.

I THINK YOU WOULD BENEFIT FROM HEARING THE BREATHING AUDIO FIRST.

I always go to bed listening to one of these. It's either the meditations or I I listen to nature sounds like rain, ocean etc.

But I really do like the soothing voice on the meditations for breathing, anxiety  and panic. I fall asleep listening to them because they completely relax me.

I can't just lay down and go to sleep because my mind races so that's why these meditations are excellent for me and people who have that issue.

I hope they will help you too!

So sorry you are going through this and with no answers. That's the scary part. I would suggest trying some relaxation techniques and researching other therapeutic ways to relax your mind and body. I honestly can't imagine going through what you're experiencing. When I had my panic attacks it only lasted a few months and that was scary, but going through on a constant has to be mentally draining. I hope you feel better and don’t stop trying to seek help. Everything u have described I have had in the past week, I take anxiety medication which usually keeps me level, but extra stresses caused a surge in anxiety, and it’s been awful.  I went to out of hours docs twice out of desperation , and the bit u said about being lost in thoughts , my mind is just obsessed with how I’m feeling. I fear the worst , I’m really trying self help, but when ur in the grip of an anxiety episode it is very hard to get out of. All I can offer in the way of hope is that I have had this for 30 years and it’s not always this bad, I have long periods when I’m fine. There is a way out. I see youre in America , I’m in the uk, I don’t know how things work over there, but there is help, don’t give up , u will get better .

Hi Claire . Really related to your reply to Louis. Been dealing with this for years. Take meds when bad. Can have good patches  then go through bad patches where I just cannot think of anything but my anxiety, constantly worrying, projecting the worst , never positive. My muscles ache, stomach churns, heart races , sweat and shake and want to avoid doing anything. ' How anxiety works is horrid. Going from hell as soon as we wake to feeling ok sometimes, I've really tried everything to help myself, and this has never killed me , just feel I'm going mad sometimes, glad people here understand here as 'so called normal people say I look ok and don't understand everything on the surface looks fine but inside we feel dreadful. Let's hope for more good days than bad. 😊??

Thanks for your reply, these forums are good , makes you realise how common this horrible thing is. For years I thought I was going mad, it’s only as I’ve got older and more informed that I understand my symptoms and it’s fantastic that people talk about stuff on here that I’ve experienced, I always felt so alone with this ‘condition’.
