I tried mixing it at first, but it took longer to relieve the pain. Straight up, it knocks the cramp out in a minute or two. Not good for the rest of the body, but when those cramps hit, the inner thigh is all I care about. lol

I hope this helps someone on here. I got severe inner thigh cramps for days. I noticed that they were related t the severe heat. I hope this helps. Pleae drink lots of water and stay cool i the heat. Don't wear tight clothing, either.

dehydration isnt causing my cramps , sadly. I drink 3 pints water a day on top of other drinks and we dont often get severe heat In Yorkshire! Mine is cause by a nerve leaving a stenosis in my spine causing the nerve to be irritated and making it fire off. steroid injections into the spine at that point help enormously... but I only have 1 a y

That's interesting, cortisone injections or taken orally actually causes me to get muscle cramps everywhere, not just in my inner thigh. I've heard others say the same thing. I don't know the reason.

After reading your comment I wonder if I don't have the same problem. I do have degenerative disc disease and no cushion between L3&L4 which causes sciatica pain. so now I'm wondering if it has any relation. Did your Dr do a specific test to determine that? I'm so sick of these cramps! I think I've been dealing with these for going on 15 years now. Not all the time but several times in a year span. ☹

I saw a Cranial Osteopath regularily and he worked on my lower back for sciatica and low back pain. he said the nerve at L5 was firing off because it was irritated and every time he worked at making more space round L5, the cramps went away(. Gp sent me for scans and told me I had disk degeneraration and pain releif and after many years I found there were steroid injections so I hassled him till i got one)

I told my doctor, as I get older, I wonder if I will be able to sustain this type of pain. i feel like i am going to have a heart attack. it hurts so bad.

My husband is going to divorce me if I keep having them.. I can't make him understand how excruciating the pain is! So bad I can't talk and if I do, its growling for him to get hot water on a towel.. you'd think he'd remember but because it doesn't affect him... I guess not. so I completely understand the heart attack comment.. I have wished for death when it hits!!!

I know how you feel - I am 70 and have the same worries. I have found a Homeopath who prescribes Cuprum drops....its not immediate relief, takes about 5 mins under the tongue, as you are having the spasm BUT IT DOES GIVE RELIEF ! My spasms have lasted 30 mins or more, but now are much shorter

I had severe inner thigh cramp at 5.30 am. my osteopath had said " try widening you legs as far as they will go, with knees bent like a frog, if the cramp hits. Then push the cramped thigh a little bit more. difficult to do in such intense pain...BUT IT WORKED ! The cramp wanted to return but I just kept pushing my bent thigh away and after a short while it just stopped

    YAY !!!
