sex & sertraline

I have been in this medication for 6 days today & I'm already contemplating coming off it, the side effects are awful already.... I feel dizzy, nauseous & have brain for.. . All of which I can cope with at the moment....i won't beat around the bush , last night me ^ my partner made love & I was devastated that I couldn't orgasm, we gave an amazing sex life & for this to happen is a major blow to me as I've been prescribed 50mg sertraline for depression & anxiety but the fact is I've never been happier in my life but have had bouts of unexplainable crying & mood swings I'm also taking hrt so things have all happened at once .....plz tell me there's light at the end of a very dim tunnel.....any help/advice would be a godsend xxx

    Hi Susan,

    I think that there is (a little) light at the end of the tunnel. I could not climax for several weeks when I first started on the Sertraline but that has improved. It still takes me longer than before but I can get there with patience! I would say though that my desire to even have sex has all but disappeared. My poor husband is somewhat frustrated that sex is far less frequent than it was before. I just don't feel the 'urge' but when I do succumb (i'm sorry to say out of pity for hubby) I do actually enjoy it!
