      Good morning renee

How are you today? And how is hip number two behaving.

Thanks Renee - I'm not great today - lot of deep pain - just trying to get through the next few weeks. Struggled out this morning and bought stocking fillers for all the grandchildren (7!) and presents for the 4 family birthdays this month. So that's done! Hope you're ok

Yes Abby I bought one as I was having trouble sitting on a regular toilet when we went out and I couldn't find a disabled toilet to use. It was terrific used it for about 6 weeks it gave me peace of mind when going out and as we do a lot of outback camping ( I'm from Oz) it will come in useful then as I find squatting down rather difficult now.  Gillian

Ah interesting! I think I'll order the peebols and see how I get on. We go camping in the summer, so might be handy then too. Thanks

    Hi

Yep. I bought a Shewee kit including the pipe extension.

For a start it is much smaller than you think or looks in adverts. So the cup at the top, which you put next to your body is only a couple of inches long and not as wide. This means that as the stream moves you have to move the Shewee around to catch it! Something I was very bad at, resulting in very wet clothes, floor etc The problem being that you have to miss very little to cause a mess you can't clear up because of hip.

If anyone has succeeded in using this contraption I would be interested to hear how. My advice is it is easier and better for muscles to use a stand to steady yourself on and off of toilet.

Let me know if you decide to go for Shewee and give me some instruction if you succeed.

    Good luck. Hope this helps.

I did wonder if that might be the case, Lyn! I've ordered the Peebols so I'll let you know how I get on! Oh my, so looking forward to post-op - NOT! Just ordered lots of books online to keep me busy post-op. Thanks for the info! x

I'm not looking forward to it either Abby! Would be really interested to hear how you get on with the peebol. I have never heard of it. The thing is we are all different. One of my daughters can wee standing up with a steady stream. The other, like me tends to zig zag if you know what I mean! Oh the indignity of it all. Tena lady light panty liners might be the way to go just to stay fresh on those hobble too slowly to the loo days!!

Let me know how you get on.

Oh no, the slow decline to incontinence pads 😂 !

Thanks! I was trying to avoid that thought! I was going more for the very slim panty liner for freshness track.

Oh my what girlie talk this is! Ha ha ha!!! Think the tena or other brand for incontinence will be more effective than pany liners. ........

Absolutely agree jane. But for the sake of our dignity let's call Incontinence wear, 'slim panty liners'. The sort younger ladies wear anticipating an exciting night out!

      No incontinence pads here!

      I agree Abby.

MMM that doesn't sound right...My She Wee from Boots has the cup bit but I did have to practice,,and as another post has said you need to hold it firmly against your 'bits'..its a confidence thing so keep going as it was extremely useful.

      Good Luck!!
