Side effect Question

Hello

I am wondering at what dosage of pred, are side effects no longer an issue?

I know nothing is  the same for all, but just curious, if have to stay 5 or below for a year or more( not nearly  yet ) if the body adjusts.

    Thank you all for your responses.Greatly Appreciated..

    It makes the future a bit brighter to know when/ if side effects come on these high doses, things will get better..

    Staying strict to diet, water, and walking...

    I think, thats the best I can do..and decrease slowly to try to avoid having to go back up

      Yes as bad as mine was at the beginning I still continued to do lots of walking and keep active that really helped keep the joints going during the day night time for me as with most with this was the worst but that did get better , sleep quite well at night now very little pain just hoping for no flare ups down to 7mg a day now and feeling very hopeful the worst is over.

    I started out at 20 mg in September and I am right now down to 10.5 mg. Other than the overabundance of bruises and hot flashes I don't have any other symptoms of the prednisone. And I thank the Lord because the racing heart that I had it 20 mg was awful. And the weight gain was equally dismaying..
