Hi everyone. I posted on this awhile back in search of answers. I have since found relief and wanted to share in case I could help point anyone else in the right direction.
I originally would experience extreme teeth pain, roof of mouth pain/burning, cheek pain, temple sensitivity. Also, I started experiencing sinus congestion on top of all of this. In search of my pain I feel like I have seen every type of doctor. What ended up helping was seeing a facial pain specialist who did trigger point injections in my masseter (also look into botox injections), a chiropractor to work on my neck (c1/atlas and c2/axis) which I apparently had a subluxation, and a physical therapist to work on neck muscles, stretch a tight jaw joint and strengthen postural muscles. Apparently with some neck pain it can radiate up into the face instead of down into the arm like most people experience. I originally was told I had everything from TMJ dysfunction to atypical facial pain treated with medication. I am currently off of EVERYTHING except for a zytec for my apparent allergies. I know it sounds crazy that this could all be caused by muscles but that was it in my case. When facial muscles spasm or nerves are irritated they can radiate up from the neck it can cause a lot of burning and pain.
I was in so much pain every day for 2 years and today I can say I mostly just have a little flare up when I get super stressed out and tense up. Hang in there; there is hope. Finding the right people to help me was in no way easy or a quick fix.
?**My suggestion is to have an x-ray of your neck by a chiropractor or someone very familiar with the neck not just a radiologist.
Look into a physical therapist that is familiar with facial and neck muscles to work on getting knots out and release any tight joints. Botox is also a short term option to get those facial muscles out of spasm and "reset" but that is a very off label use. Ice your face; it helps. Stretch. I used a tens type machine I bought from amazon on my neck and even sometimes on my face.

Hi everyone, I know it's been a long time since I've been here alot has happened....I got a diagnosis of something called SUNA it's a trigeminal Autonomic Caphaelgia Syndrome it's very similar to tn so that's my main diagnosis but other factors are involved I have tmd with myofascial symptoms and bruxism basically all in the head area. I'm under a good medical team now who see me regularly but I'm still very much experiencing all symptoms unfortunately. I'm waiting to have radiofrequency ablation of the spenopalatine ganglion to see if it will relieve me of symptoms if it works I can have it when needed I'm also on the waiting list for a new drug that's injected daily for my migraines . Slowly but surely I'm getting somewhere but it's taken many years! Never give up keep fighting till you get the help you deserve.

hi chantell, i reading your post, i also get this awful pain, i have had sinus infections all my life, and iam actually in bed now with sinus pain and congestion but the worse pain is in the roof of my mouf and around the right eye socket and i get nerve pain aswell and i saw a ENT, several years ago and he put camera up my nose, and found polyps, but wen i mentioned the nerve pain in my face he said it had nothing to do with my sinuses it was more like TN, but i was diagnosed with TN yrs ago, and i also get nerve pain all over my body, but i notice my face nerve pain is always worse when my sinuses are bad, but this pain in the roof of my mouf is unbarable, i thort i was only one who experienced this, but now i know other people do aswell, but its just so hard to get rid of even with strong painkillers, it disables me, and i have to lay down, my nose runs but also it drips down my throat at the bak aswell,

Sinus, dental, sensitivity on right side of face, dry eye, ear wax, stress, neck ache, migraine, under the weather, small appetite, fatigued easily, roof of mouth and upper teeth gums on right side swell up and become tender, no fever ,face is continuing to get hot but we are cold. All my coworkers and I experiencing same symptoms. I have been on remedies of eye and ear drops, sinus rinsing, humidifier, cool compress, moistened heating pad, sensodyne toothpaste for gum and teeth strengthening sensitivity, salt water gargling mouth rinse, moistened peppermint teabag, drinking green tea, breathing exercises, drinking broth, hydration, throat spray, and finally resting. Upon waking up in morning we are feeling back to normal and barely any above symptoms. Starts all over again throughout the day. Not an answer yet.
