    Hi Tom,

I was taking 150mg like yourself the last month. I was feeling much the same as you described so I have decided to go back down to 100mg. I exercise a lot (running) and have really watched my diet, taking all food's that are beneficial to the brain....fish oils etc. Today has been my best day so far for a long while, like you I was really thinking I would never pick up. This too will pass, you have to believe. You will have to experiment with your medication until you find the correct dose for YOU.

Again like other people have similarly posted, I can't emphasise how important exercise is for you....as my doctor told me it is as good as medication if not better, research as shown. The endorphins released from your brain give an immediate calming affect, which will also help you to sleep. Keep in touch Tom, you will be fine 😊

Very hard to exercise when in a deep depression pal. Doing simple things are a huge effort. Glad u found your own way of doing it. Well done you. It's not easy.

Thanks for the advice mickey I just feel like there's no end at the moment my mood feels so low I went for a run earlier just to get out the house , I really need to accept it's the depression which is making me feel like this and nothing else I'm constantly going over and over things to try and find the answer but apart from feeling down today and having a sort of pressure headache if I actually think it's. it really bad I've sort of got an appetite back which I think must be a good sign it seems that's recovery is such a long process of ups and downs , I just want to click my fingers and be fine but I know that's not going to happen thanks for messaging me it means a lot for me to talk about it.

      Hi Ger,

I agree when you feel that low it's the last thing you feel like doing. Thanks Ger👍

Believe me Tom everything you have described is much the way I am. Trying to analyze why you feel this way, constantly looking for answers. As my wife tells me it gets easier when you stop asking questions(not easy) and accept that is how you feel. Its a horrible horrible place to be and only people on this forum really know what its really like. A bereavement of a family member wad the catalyst for my depression, but sometimes it doesn't have to be one. Hang in there. You could also check out a supplement that I have started taking, it could only be a coincidence that I am feeling slightly better today...its called Inositol. Check it out

I find it better talking to fellow sufferers makes me feel more positive that I will get through this and get back on track.

      Thanks mike.

      Hi Deanna,

That is a normal human response, thinking you will feel this way forever. You WONT....it will pass in time.
