Sleeping after hip replacement

I'm 44 years old and had a hip replacement 10 days ago, I'm having real difficulty sleeping on my back . My recovery has been good , my wound is healing well ,I'm walking on 1 crutch now and doing exercises regularly. I'm just so tired from not sleeping at night and find that in napping in the day . Any ideas on sleeping .

Roll up a towel and put it in your lumbar spine it helps cope sleeping on your back. I am two weeks post op and can sleep on my side with a pillow between my knees and I still use the towel roll between my ribs and hips at waist to maintain lumbar support. My physio taught me this when I had back trouble in the past and it really helps. I take pain killers at night more than in the day as pain is worse at night for me

I have trouble sleeping unless I put a pillow between legs. my greatest pain is when I pick up my leg when walking. I'm doing 40 minuites a morning on treadmill. not sure if that is causing it.

I am 3 months post total hip replacement with cement in my bone
