Small red spot on penile head?

Hi everyone, I've had two red spots on my penis now for about a month and I'm not quite sure what they are. There's absolutely no pain or itching, nor do they seem to be getting any worse. However, they haven't healed for a month, even with me abstaining from self pleasure. They have a silvery sheen to them when put under light, and they both feel "rough" to the touch, although malleable.
I should also note that I had not had sex at all, so any STD's aren't really viable here.
What do you guys think, is this serious, or will it pass in the next few weeks? Should I go to a dermatologist just to be sure?

looks like i have something similar. i have got it once in August 30, 2018 and had gone to a dr for the same he said it was herpes even after the tests were neg. so i did not believe him. i am circumcised and it was just below my penis head so every time i would get a boner or tried masturbate that is the time the skin would stretch it caused the sink to tear that is the only time it burned other then that there was no pain at all. this stuff happened after i had received a BJ in june 3, 2018 . i was scared and it was 3 months so all the sti should reactive in tests so got all the tests done again from a different lab

but i got something similar again on top of my penis head now its a shiny spot wrinkly started with dry skin pealing but was not noticeable before but again i got a BJ and it turned red in a day and tender just that spot no pain, so may be cuz of the friction its a little red but no pain or itch. just mentally feel like something is wrong and u feel tingling there when im thinking about it.
now idk wat this is might get all the tests done again.

i went to the dermatologist , he said its not a std.
i should use eleuphrat cream, after two day it clearing up nicely.

I know this is an old post. But I recently found myself with a similar issue. I noticed around 3 days ago a small reddish/pale papule in my penis head which is sometimes hard to even notice (as it blends well with skin) There is no pain no itching nothing. I've tried locating my inguinal lymph nodes with no success. Also since lockdown I haven't had any sexual encounters in 2 months... I also have a current negative HIV/Syphilis test and so everything was pointing that this could be caused by HPV and could be a pre cancerous lesion.
After reading through all the comments with similar symptoms (none because there is nothing other than the visual appreciation of it ) I've come to the conclusion that this might be an eczema as some are pointing out. Unfortunately I have no way of confirming with a dermatologist as my country has decided to continue the lockdown and outpatient clinic continues to be closed. They are only taking care of emergency which really stressed me out as I wouldn't been able to get a proper diagnosis or biopsy if needed. Thanks a lot of sharing your comments and I wanted to leave one too in case there is someone in a similar situation who needs some sort of support.
However I just want to point our PLEASE GO TO A SPECIALIST even after you have read everything here.

hello can any one please help if you share same symptoms....mine does not hurt or hitch.....when it first appeared I tried the aloe vera plant but one patch disappeared and left the other patch which led to me asking from a pharmacist a medicine for ring worms which he advised it was a type of ring worm that does affect but after taking the medication there was no change and the patch seemed to spread which made me to stop medicating after stopping the left patch started healing but then another patch grew next to it which led me a doctor and now the patch is spreading can any one help please....

I have the same thing from last two months no itching,no pain, no bleeding nothing just red) pink patch. it sometimes fade a lot n then gets red/pink again. but mostly it is pink in color.
Has anyone found what exactly it is? n solution to get rid of it?

still suffering mate, wish i had an answer for you. Been over a year for me now. Flares up more after maturbating/sex. I just try and keep it clean now and hope it someday goes away. If anyone has some answers though please share

same here, mine also become darker in color after masturbation.
a week ago a little skin peeled off from the rash so it became a little fainter but it's still there.
if it's been a year for you then i think you should go for biopsy and figure it out what exactly it is and get a proper treatment for the exact cause of the problem. Because in a years time I guess you probably have tried everything from antifungals to steroids.
For me so far it's been 4 months of this rash n right now I'm using a steroid cream suggested by my urologist. I will see for couple of more months and if it doesn't improve then i will definitely doing biopsy.

I've tried many things yeah, oral antifungals, antifungal creams, antibiotics, antibiotic cream, steroid creams, you a name it.
Unfortunately, the Dr's do not really see any concern.
I paid to go to a dermatologist private who just prescribed a stronger steroid cream, it helps with the redness but never eliminates and ultimately ceasing use just causes it to flare right back up again.
Perhaps I'll try for another Dr's appointment and see what happens then. Like i said, if I continuously wash/moisturise it's not that bad. But if no moisturiser coupled with masturbation it flares up terrible.
I'd also note that since have this I've started retracting foreksin when urinating. Again, if I go back to my old ways it'll flare up..

Hey guys...I registered just so I could respond to this, paying it forward as the discussion here helped me. I had an almost identical red spot as OP, on head of penis on left "rim". Had it for probably a couple months, it looked horrible and was driving me crazy...was 99.9% confident not an std. Tried using triple antibiotic, jock itch cream, trying to keep it clean and dry, avoid chafing, etc, nothing was helping - and figured going to the doc wouldn't be much more than an embarrassing wild good chase.
After reading posts here that mentioned the corticosteroid (clobetasol?)....remembered I had something called desonide cream .05% that was prescribed to me for seborric dermatitis that I get mostly in areas on my eyebrows and face. I think that condition is similar to eczema...so tried applying a little on the red spot 3x/day, and in less than 4 days it's 99% gone.
So at least for me and OP...guessing it was something like eczema and the corticosteroid cream did the trick!
