Hi ladies
Oh it's been over a month since last post. Been through the wringer. My nausea and vomiting became so bad went into ER twice in one weekend. All tests were ok, lab , ct ,ekg, etc. few days later had gallbladder out. Had to stay in hospital as I got a huge hematoma and became anemic. But nausea got worse and worse so 4 days after surgery got endoscopy. Said it was gastritis. So been taking Protonix. Acid reflux is incredible. Nauseousness better but still get it a little daily. Lost 10lbs in 3 weeks due to lack of appetite. But worst thing now is my neck turning, diagnosed as cervical dystonia got worse after surgery and it severely pulling to the left. My entire neck is so stiff and painful. Mostly I'm is sitting all day icing it against the back of the couch. Tried driving but too difficult can't look to change lanes or back up. Got Botox treatment yesterday so praying that will give me relief. Please keep me in your prayers. I feel like mine are not being heard. ??????
Wish I was back to dealing with "just depression and peri".

I want to add that when my peri symptoms got severe last July, exactly a year ago now, I went into depression and started trying different antidepressants (but couldn't get past the side effects to find the right one). And my doctor says the dystonia may be a side effect from it. I've researched online and there is info to this connection. So please be very careful about taking these drugs. Dystonia is very disabling. If I had to chose dystonia is way worse than major depression.

It is such a hard time in life but especially more for you going through all of this. I remember talking to you on here a while back. How old are you if you don't mind me asking xx

Hi I'm 47.
Yes been rough to say the least. Once I get the dystonia and gastritis settled I need to put my attention back on addressing the peri symptoms. One of which is got fibroids size of baseball and golfball so one gyno said I can get hysterectomy and another said uterus can hold size of 9 month fetus so can leave it. It's maddening the different opinions of doctors. But I tell you gastritis if it really was it, is like incredibly wretched. I thought if this is the way I am to go then let it be. And I've never thought that before, ever. Had my friend take me to ER 2 days in a row.

Yes I remember you saying to get it out when I mentioned they accidentally found a mass in my GB during an ultrasound for another peri related test. I waited almost a year as I wasn't having any GB symptoms. Turns out it was a polyp. So glad I got it out! Are you still waiting to start HRT?

So she offered me effexor an antidepressant which is meant to help hot flushes and mood swings. After hearing so many bad things about it I decided to not go there.
I have felt better since stopping the caffeine and cutting back sugar. My hot flushes have stopped and the mood swings are way better. So for now will see how I go. I know it will probably get worse/change as I am still early stages so will go day by day and take it as it comes. Its all we can do really. Hope you are feeling a bit better today x
