Socks

Hi all and a very HAPPY NEW YEAR. I am now 10 wpo and am still not able to put my socks on not only because of my LTHR but I do have good old OA in my back as well so this tricky process is likely to continue being a problem. Can anyone recommend one of the sock putter onner gadgets that are on the market in the UK. There are about a dozen different ones and I'm not sure which one to go for.

Hi Colin..I have only just managed my socks at 12 weeks but my back hasn't the problems you have....I can't reccomened a particular sock puller on ..mine was given me by hospital.

I am now 12 weeks and quite suddenly improved dramatically.....tho wasn't too bad at 8 weeks .....

Off for yet more sparking tea and it is only 5 oclock....I am daughter of an RN officer that is my excuse.

    Cheers.

    Hi Colin

I found a great one via youtube tried to put it on here before but because I put a link to the website it was blocked my husband who had a knee replacement in march also finds it good. It comes from Germany but delivery really quick and costs about £30 , its blue plastic and they demonstrate how to use it.

    Happy new year

PS had my rthr on 5 november and doing well

Happy New Year to you too -

I bought one in a medical supply store - a plastic thingy with a rope - still using it  at 15 weeks post-op - it is faster for me than fumbling -

    warm hug
