But what's the problem?  Bone spur? Laminectomy.  Multiple collapsed disks with nerve impingement?  TLIF fusion.  One-level foraminal stenosis or disk degeneration with impingement?  LLIF fusion.  I've had all three and each one fixed a specific problem.  The LLIF was a permanent miracle!!!

    Hi there

i was feeling as desperate as you only this time last year after 6 years of pain after 2 pregnancies with L4-5 disc degeneration. I tried absolutely everything in terms of physio, chiropractor, osteopathy, etc and also steroid injections and a denervation procedure. The steroid injections did work in the very short term and drugs such as tgabapentin helped. In the end my consultant recommended surgery and I only wish I hadn't waited so long. I would not say I am cured but I am SO much better, it has changed my life. Read my account of the operation and aftermath on my blog:

Can you tell me that there is an alternative to its surgery? I am only 21 years old. My pain is not like to be tolerated. I can not move and stay in my room for long periods of time. How well can I stay after surgery? Is there any exercise or physiotherapy for this?
