Sores in Genitals
Posted , 8 users are following.
Sores in vulva and very itchy. Started out as itching and upon looking realized there were sores. It started out as just one sore and now there are more. Two of them felt like pimples/lumps a bit in the beginning but became open sores. Haven't been sexually active in four months. Otherwise healthy. No particular discharge as well apart from clitoris (which I've had for a while). Itchy in general and painful to touch.
Had one occurance of sores/rashes like this in the past (about one year five months back) but the sores didn't look the same. I was sexually active then. Had been with the same partner for six months. Visited the gynecologist who said it was nothing. I used candid b and it resolved in about a week. But I also had clumpy white discharge then which I don't have now.
Please help! Could it be Herpes or another STD/STI (no recent sexual activity) or some other infection? Thank you!

Both ulcers are pitted which is a very remarkable characteristics of herpes blisters after bursting open.

Oh are you isolating?
I would therefore just recommend you keep the area dry and when you can see the Dr you get some answers.

Ok so i have had herpes for 10 years and rarely have outbreaks but have stumbled upon my dream menstrual product. I started using menstrual cups and they are so much less messy and assist with keeping dry when on your cycle whether having an outbreak or not. From your photos, it does look like herpes. You can order cups online. The Honey Pot Company just released theirs and luna cups were my first. Keeping the area dry is the key to not feeling that burning sensation.
