Spinal operation

Today I'm having my spinal op to replace discs at C5 - C6 & C6 - C7 surgeon confirms pain in arms will disappear.
Funny how there always a but. 😳 But the last scan has shown dramatic change in other levels which need correcting. Not today but maybe in future.
Indicated three possible four levels effected. So after operation I will have some pain in neck and possible in shoulders.
Have more questions today 2 years 8 months after being diagnosed with this problem.
Staying positive.

Rsupportuk slowly wins the race. Just wish after 10 years or more I could get something done for me.
How do you think you had such problems. Mine was a slip down some stairs my daughter was falling off her bike. Its just interesting.
Let's knows how you get on

As surgeon said my prolapse was caused by lifting too much weight. The stenosis was caused by degeneration of the discs drying out and protruding into the spinal column. Old age I'm afraid. 58 now. Lol
Go back to doctor ask for a deep scan to be done as my neck problems didn't show on first mr scan I had done but second one they did.
I even had a third scan requested by surgeon one month before op which showed more problems.

John

Also, doctors can mistake or misread your MRIs and X Rays. I went to Middlesoborough at the beginning and I saw a Greek surgeon there. but... it was his registrar who read the X Rays and he said there was nothing wrong with my back.... there you are another one not quite qualified to say such things. I was astounded and thats when I think the drs etc. thought I was putting it on.
Maybe the weight did something to your neck as well, you know what I mean.... OK I'm off to the drs. now.... nothing about backs, just pain killers needed

I hat the cod minus 25 here in winter snow every year for months normally five on average.
Ill reply to your other message later youll see it later or tomorrow.
Yes i am working in garden but have to be careful as the surgeon did tell me using fusion is good to eliminate pain and is the best opition for an old fella like me 58 and so far the pain in arms has goone eight days after operation im feeling pretty good. Young Pup is just a distan memory for me. Cant do a lot as wife will be waking soon from her night shift and if she thinks ive done too much she will give me grief. So shes gotta use the chainsaw to cut the tree up or firewood for this years winter fuel. Have a cod and chips for me. Oh and a packet of Salt and Vinager crisps. Booze is opional as i dont drink. Be good if not enjoy yourselves.

I have just washed the garden chairs down and v tired and will wait until tomorrow to do the other 2. However, we brought some rhubarb back so peter is looking at containers. So tomorrow will go to Javea to get one(the English part of spain!!)
Yes we did have cod and chips at Morecambe by the sea but it was so wrapped up, I lost half of them on the car floor which was just as well it was a hired car. Yes and I had some booze, I took my sister in law 43 liquir but had a small brandy every hour or so, it was small. But... does alcohol do anything to you taking painkillers. I was risking it but I think I took so long drinking it I was OK Don't like crisps much - the Spanish are terrible for them.
I looked up rhubarb just now and it kills cancer cells which is interesting. No didn't have a beer, I only have one of those when I am thirsty (or water)
My daughter looked so pale when I saw her (3 hours) and she is always tired, I am not sure that working with games on a screen is good for her.
At least Amos knows whats best for him lying in the sun. I often think of getting a dog but I have enough looking after myself.
Don't do too much, watch your neck, its no good doing something that you will knacker your neck up - I always think the surgeon has done something good for you, you shouldn't do something that will undo the good work. Hope you won't be annoyed at telling you this.
Cesar my friend is coming back tonight (after we bought him a bottle of whisky) with my appointment for this injection. Not looking forward to it at all.
If you go onto Trevor's website you will probably go onto Ken's website too, I think you will be of an age to remember Uriah Heep. I just wish he would get a flipping haircut.
Let me know how you are feeling after the gardening. I don't mind you swearing....

Inside I've got island to finish with new work top. Bathroom needs hole in conc for chute to washroom. Part of inside to finish. Too much to list. Outside Lisbeth does gardening I've gotta finish balcony and steps to lower deck to be finished.
Frankly Amos is a god send he's fab gives me cuddles when I feel down with pain. He walks very slowly, it's like he knows I can't go quickly. I had him before I got these problems but I'm so glad I've got him as he's a great support for me when I was in pain. Neck is so much better, as surgeon said I will get pain in neck and shoulders as I have other levels needing replacement. Lower back is really hurting more. Never felt it as the pain I had in arms and neck before operation was so intense I didn't notice lower back pain as much. Annoyed no not me. What you've said is true. So I'm doing what they said. Don't stretch the neck.
Think I'm of an age cheeky, your dead right I do remember Uriah heap. Lol lol
Swearing you've come to the right place as a cockney every other word with me is f*ck lol lol lol
Nice to see you had a great time in uk.
