My recent results showed Gleason 9-4/5   T3B.  N1A.     I know about Gleason but can anybody explain in simple English not Dr talk  T3B  N1A ?           Washie

    Hi there I will try and give a better reply than the previous unhelpful one. T3b means the cancer has spread to the seminal vesicles which are just outside the prostate. N1 means it is in the lymph nodes.

      Exactly right Kieabs... I would only add the the lymph nodes invaded are regional (close to the prostate)

      Great!  That's a relief.  It looks as if I am going Hormone/Rad route .Have just started on Cyproterone Acetate.   You sound like a clued up guy so any thoughts on type of Rad.and drugs would help me on my journey.                             Thanks again.          Washie

      But you also say isn't that the point of this forum yes it is for people to give an oppinion,and my oppinion was,perhaps you should start with the Dr who give you that prognosis .

      If you had a better answer I don't think it's nessasary to be rude to anyone else. 

      I just asked a direct question,and if that offended Washie,then it was up to him to say so,not yours.

      Washie,If I offended you by asking you ,why you never asked the Dr the questions first,then I wish you would have said so,instead of saying 

      "good 2good answers out of 3".

      Then going on Dales thread to ask me about my hubby's treatment ???

      Man, I would definitely consider proton radiation. It's targeted to only cancerous cells, with few if and side effects.
