Well I have my weigh in this evening at 5.30pm.. not confident in the slightest LOL..

With Xmas & New year and food and chocs LOL..

Still staying the same would be good..a loss even better.. will update in an hour or so..

Well I should have stayed at home!!!

I have only lost 0.45kg.. not even HALF a kilo!!!

Doc didn't seem to impressed but I said I was happy that I had lost something considering Xmas and New Yr..and she said that she would give me another months prescript \"for maintenance\"..I argued and said that it was still working and that it was just due to xmas etc..

SO she has basically said that now my weight has plateaued that she will have to rethink it..(BUT I have met my 6 month target within 3 months so I thought she would have kept me on them past 6 months!!!!!)

SO I will just have to get my ass into gear and lose at least 2 kilos before the 13th Feb!!

Goal weight 12 stone something, thats when I stop being obese, and just become overweight, if I get that far though I might just decide to change my goal posts

    Hi Everyone,

Well done to you all on the losses over the christmas period.

I got weighed Monday but have lost nothing since 19th Dec.

I've taken the decision to go it alone for a month to see if I can lose it myself, the nurse said I could get more if I wanted too or felt I was losing it a bit, but I really want to try it on my own.

Will continue to check you all out over the next couple of weeks and will let you know how I get on.

    Good luck to you all

    Jane

Thanks Kayos, I really was shocked at my weight loss, I know damned well I put weight on over xmas, then with not being able to get the tablets I was really negative mentally and thinking why bother, so an 8lb loss is a boost to get back to it :-)

I think most of us struggled over xmas though and are getting back to it now smile

Jane - good luck going it alone (without the blueys that is) cos your not alone, wether your taking the tablets or not were still here and behind you supporting you, and here for our ears bending whenever you feel the need, keep on posting and letting us know how you get on

    Hi Debs

Welcome! I'm sure that, like me, you'll find this forum a great help, everyone is friendly and supportive.

I go to Slimming World too, and like you, my friend has just had a gastric bypass, what a coincidence!

    You should register with MAP, the helpline run by Roche, who make orlistat, they are really helpful and give good advice and send you lots of good information through the post, and also call you now and again to see how you're getting on. The number is;

    [b:f9b551dd39]08007317138[/b:f9b551dd39]

You will need the box of tablets handy when you call them, they ask you the batch number so they can register you.

I haven't had any side effects since I started the tablets in september. I keep to the recommended amount of fat and I seem to be ok.

    Good luck,

    Gill

Has anyone had experiences of taking orlistat who has IBS? My GP thinks it may well upset my IBS, therefore, not worth trying. I am desperate to lose weight though and feel like I just need something !!

Reckon I have about 7 stone to lose and just cant seem to get started.
