Still can't find a pill that works

I really need to speak to someone who hasn't found a drug that works and therefore given up on relying on them.

Is there anyone out there with recurring depression that has managed to survive with no medication??

    Hi

Been using SS(N)RI's for over 10 years. None have worked well for me with the worst being Fluoxetine which literally makes me feel physically unwell with crippling headaches, dizziness, nausea which undermine anything positive it might be doing to my serotonin levels.

I now have no idea what to do next but I have discovered a good therapist and she is helping me in trying to establish the cause of my depression which I can remember suffering in my early teens onwards with self harm in my late teens before 'self harm' was a phrase.

Right now I have headaches that sit on the crown of my skull and make my head feel like it will explode. I also have zero desire to interact with people or leave my flat. Any physical activity leaves me exhausted.

It's sad to reflect back to the time when I was a county level competitive swimmer training 5 hours a day and now I can hardly move from bed.
